Huskers vs. Iowa is half manufactured but logical given the proximity/border. The hate seems mutual. Maybe Rhule can do something Frost didn’t, namely: win a game before he’s canned.

It’s not half manufactured. It’s 100% manufactured. And no the “hate” isn’t mutual. First of all, there is no “hate” at least from our end. Second, Iowa treats us like a Super Bowl and we either treat them like just another game…or there are some of our fans who play along (fall in line) with the manufactured rivalry and try to pretend it’s actually a thing. Again, sCUm game the last couple years, is all you need to know. Our admin f*cking sucks at life!

I could be wrong but the top 3 opponents to visit Memorial Stadium in the last decade that really brought the juice out of the crowd were Miami, Oklahoma, and Colorado. It’s obvious to me the big ten opponents don’t excite Nebraska fans much and yeah it’s likely because we got curb stomped numerous times. We have been a failure since joining. And those 3 teams I listed are a link to the glorious past that make use feel good.
