My all time favorite Oiler and top 3 running back, period. I liked his style. He punished linebackers and anybody else that tried to tackle him. Legs always churning and he always fell forward.

Notable Matchups & Postseason Struggles
The Houston Oilers and the Steelers shared a fierce AFC Central rivalry during Campbell's peak late-1970s and early-1980s era. Pittsburgh's legendary defense famously keyed in on stopping Campbell, especially in high-stakes games:

• • 1978 & 1979 AFC Championship Games: The Steelers heavily contained Campbell in the playoffs, limiting his production significantly during their championship runs. In the 1979 AFC title game specifically, he was held to just 15 yards on 17 carries.
