I we lose, Greg is gone.
if we win by a couple against this horrible team, Greg is gone.
if we win big, we all can say Umass was a fluke and wait until USC blows us out and proves the program is not sustainable with Greg.

Greg's not getting fired mid season.

Keli knows that if she fires him now then coaches won't think they have a fair shot at fixing Rutgers, making hiring even more expensive than it already is.

Maybe Greg will be gone after the season. I wouldn't hold my breath though considering the $500 mil we already spent.

If we lose maybe he’s canned but really
Big game next week so I just think he makes it to the bye week regardless of record

at the bye he stays at 2+ wins but is gone at 0-4 or 1-3
I mentioned this in another thread but if anything happens during the season after IU is the opportune time.

It would allow GS to get his 100th win against Howard, if not BC. It gets potential blowouts by USC and IU out of the way. That’ll clear the way for an interim to come in after the bye to take on more manageable Maryland and NW to maybe inject a little life if things have gone bad to that point.

Fair shot? This is his 7th year, I think that’s more than a fair shot by most schools’ standards. Only Locksley (year 8) at Maryland and Wilcox (middle of year 9) lasted longer without a winning conference record.

I didn’t think there was a chance he’d get fired during the season and thought 4 wins would probably be enough to get him to next year (the year I thought would be the crucial one) but that was prior to UMass. After UMass, I think anything is possible.

Coaches won’t think they have a fair shot?!?!? This guy has the longest tenure ever for a losing coach

Unfortunately, Greg has been our most successful overall with 99 wins.

That's not me defending him btw. That's just the reality of it.

FCS wins shouldn’t count! I’d like the FBS conferences to just Agree to stop playing FCS teams

greg’s 17th so maybe that’s 17 games vs FCS and he’s lost 1 or 2 so say 15 wins so really 85 FBS wins vs how many more losses?

So wrong, I think it's abundantly clear he was given a chance. Almost 20 years of a chance at Rutgers. Frankly, the fact that he finally got what he wanted "just to coach", support, and not have to do the admin stuff he says he was doing, this proves even more he sucks as a coach.

Do you want realistic fans to congratulate Schiano for being the nicest guy in prison???

For a coach who is know to run everything in his program, he can’t do squat.

Wonderful. That’s an average of 4.5 wins per season. Outstanding Greg!
