IMO the douche bag sports reporter got what he had coming. I’m not a Dabo loyalist by any stretch, but if you chose to play with matches in a post-game presser…
Looks like 2 national championships has taken it's toll on the dude's humility. lol. His condescension in this clip was pretty off putting imo. Don't really even care what the topic was. Not a good look.

Man it wasn't long ago that Debo was the clear heir apparent to saban at Bama. I don't think I've ever seen a coach lose his fastball so quickly without a major scandal.
I don't get the over the top criticism. He has had one lackluster season out of the last 15 and it was still a winning record. Since his last national championship he had gone 64-17 heading into last season. He has won at least 10 games 13 times in the last 15 seasons.

I agree with you. The sports reporter’s condescension was off-putting to say the least, and it wasn’t a good look. But it seems more and more of the modern media is primarily focused on hot takes and growing their brand. Whether it’s sometimes getting on the officials over disputed calls during the game or sometimes getting on a sports writer for using his media platform to take cheap shots at the team, as the head coach there will be times where he/she must stand up for their players within reason and have their backs. Players’ won’t run through a wall for their coach if their coach won’t reasonably stand up for them.

I don’t have an issue with Dabo Swinney returning fire on that sports reporter while they’re both there in front of everyone in the same room. Play with matches in a post-game presser…

Somewhat true, but also 4-8 against non-ACC power conference teams (and ND) since 2020. Their last postseason win was 38-35 against us in 2023 (in a game we really should've won).

All this talk about the man losing his fastball. Meanwhile, Kentucky basketball is stuck with a guy who has never thrown over 80 MPH in his life, has no curveball or slider, and has +10.00 ERA.

It's ironic that UK fans are agreeing that the game has passed Dabo by. Meanwhile half of you guys want to give a coach who has never been ahead or even parallel with the game multiple more chances to lead our basketball program.

I guess Clemson football > UK basketball now, according so some of you?

That's fine! You are entitled to your opinion. I'm still mad that tomorrow's game is gonna be on ABC. Shew! Just unacceptable!

If you looked at the play between the title years and now, you’ll see a clear difference. They been able to be respectable because the ACC is so weak, but when they get on the big stage they don’t compare.

I get that but I was mostly responding to those who ridiculously suggest he should be fired.

Dabos buyout is still better than Stoops. First, he has 2 championships, so deserved a huge buyout (we had a citrus bowl victory). Second, he has an offset clause. I’m sure another team would hire him and take a chunk of the salary off Clemson (like Franklin and Va Tech).

Stoops contract will go down as one of the most ridiculous in CFB history.
True. We paid $37 million was it? For 2 citrus bowls and one was vacated.
