Last year, I started to notice that I would hear a lot of lawnmowers in the neighborhood firing up at half time during some Husker games. I thought I'd start a poll to see what everyone else does when they can't stomach watching anymore.

The best thing about the recent state of Husker football is that the season is only about a month and a half long. You get the excitement of a few games in August/September and maybe a few in early October, but by mid October the season is basically over. This leaves plenty of time to enjoy fall activities like camping and hunting and some golfing.

I used to go to the strip club.

That got expensive given the frequency it occurred (was also a long wait for 11 am kickoffs) So now I just watch other games and flip the channel any time they reference the Huskers.

just record the game.
then go do something more worthwhile and enjoyable during the game.
upon return, check the score, determine if it's worth a viewing or not.
wash, rinse, repeat.

Unfortunately the golf course has been busier since the first couple years of the Ginger Jesus. I prefer listening to game… and if I want to watch the end or something I will have it on my iPad in the cart. At one time I could play 36 holes in around 5 hours with a buddy if we wanted. Great Fall activity. I also hunt quite a bit in the Fall, so a lot of Husker memories are in a truck listening to the radio, or following the game on the phone

Call my realtor to put the house on the market. Because I just realized I'm surrounded by a bunch of poors for neighbors who have to mow their own yards.

I generally watch a bunch of retarded ****, like Ancient Aliens marathons on YouTube. Football isn't enjoyable enough in its current format to just change the channel to a different game. If Nebraska isn't fun to watch, I'll just watch people question how humans could have possibly stacked one rock on top of another rock 4000 years ago instead.

There are a lot of people on this board melting down as the games go sideways. I think most of this thread comes here to ***** or be entertained by the hot takes.

Prior to the early 2000's this was soooo hard to deal with, for real!! Not gonna lie back then it used to almost be like a death in the family... Not quite that bad obviously, but I'm sure some of you know what I mean.

Unfortunately this last decade or so has given me too much practice. I want us to get back to where it's very hard to accept.

100% like a death in the family back in the "old days" when they only lost 1-2 games a year. It would ruin you day and sometimes your week if it was Oklahoma, again. I remember thinking at the time, "how do fans of teams that lose 3-4 games a year even hang on?".

My dad who was an avid daily newspaper reader would not read the sports page for a week if the Huskers lost.
