Could Iowa go 5 in 1 during the first 6 game stretch?

I definitely think they can… need a few balls to bounce their way and some stellar play on special teams etc. I don’t see Iowa beating OSU however if Iowa gets their mojo going and play the best of their abilities it could make it rather interesting. Thoughts?

I am predicting Mich will look better vs ok this week. Not whinnnghams 1st rodeo.

Take care of the intra- state rivals, injury- free... Then we will have more data about hawks and mich,OSU,wash...go hawks, beat ISU!
Whittingham looked like he didn't give a F the entire game last Saturday

Our QBs just need to not suck and manage the game. Lean on our running game. Get the ball to Diaz and our TEs. Defensive line looked much much better than I anticipated. The rest of Dee is typical Parker. Playoffs here we come.

Diaz is insane, no lies there, but they need to spread the ball out rather than just staring him down. Evan James and RVZ were open on some really nice routes last game that were missed.

Yeah Tommy Carr, CJ's younger brother, but going into that game with a true freshman IMO is not the one.
In the portal era, putting all your eggs into a true freshman basket just seems like a really bad idea.

Underwood could be a star in a couple years, but doesn't look like one now.

The players and coaches dont operate this way but it is ok for us. I watched the ANF podcast #67 about the ISU game and this game is not a sure win and they said ISU has a defense full of good, 3 year experienced players in their front 7 with 2 300 lb DTackles. It could be harder to consistently run the ball saturday especially with Phillips out. But those guys are still high on a hawk win as they said the ISU offense even with a decent running QB looked not well oiled.

Turnovers and injuries are what cant be calculated in a sports betting line. If turnovers are even or go Iowa's way and the same with injuries then I see Iowa winning and maybe handily.

The ANF guys also said with a win saturday Mich and Wash didnt look that great at all so to your point, a 5-1 start is very possible, and crazy things can happen in that OSU game

I have a feeling ISU is going to come out the gate doubling Diaz. Should leave some favorable matchups for the other WRs and our TEs for us to distribute to. Once we start picking them apart with our other pass catchers then we will start hitting Diaz because they will be forced to be more balanced in coverage.

I just checked Washington State record last year. they were 6-6 with a bowl with against Utah State. not overly impressive overall.

However, they went to Mississippi in mid-October, who was ranked #4 at the time and lost by a field goal. So, it sounds to me like this coach (and his tranfser portal players) know how to play the underdog well. BTW, does anybody know how many of the ISU starters were starters/players for Washington state last year? It might make a difference for continuity.

I still expect a very close game. I've seen this movie WAY too many times in the last almost half century.
