Kick LSU and add Miami or FSU.

Clemson doesn't fit. Why allow UNC in a real conference? Virginia is a boring school. Miami and FSU have the best brands to join. Most exciting programs imo.

You can't kick a school like LSU and then replace them with some boring school like Virginia.
LSU is never actually gonna get kicked out.

As someone else said, this is just a giant game of chicken between the SEC and LSU. I’m not sure which side will blink first, but one of them will give in. It would be too big of a loss for both sides to actually go through with the breakup.

Tough position for the SEC, if they do nothing and LSU adds pro players everyone else will want to follow suit. If they attempt to punish LSU and even boot them from the league, and lose the lawsuit, seems like it's open season on pro players (and who knows what else). But if they win and go so far as to boot LSU, is the SEC better off in the long run? Presumably LSU goes independent or joins the Big 12 shortly after and the SEC adds someone, UNC maybe, to get back to an even number of teams.

Curious if Will Wade and the basketball program are named anywhere in this lawsuit?
Unfortunately none of the what if conference scenarios matter because what were watching is the beginning of the unraveling of it all. It had already started spinning out of control due to NIL and now it like that old tire you used to wear down to the nub. Eventually a bit of tread starts pulling loose then before you know it the whole thing breaks apart and your runnung on your rims

This is crazy. I can’t imagine this will pass. We will see how far LSU takes this. It will be a huge case study in was Mitchell right to go back to Mizzou, or are we just Mitch scared. I didn’t expect the SEC to even do this.

Exactly. Will removing a perennial football school really help the SEC in the long run? LSU can go independent and do what they want.

I hate what college sports has devolved into, but considering the current landscape, it seems like the SEC is determined to shoot itself in the foot.

That was what we called in the days, Recaps, wore out bald tires that was recapped. Man, that was back in the day for cars, though you still see them on trailers pulled bye semi's. :ROFLMAO:

Sorry bud just found it funny and brought back old times. ;)(y)

This is theater. No one actually expects them to vote lsu out lol

It would be such a bad precedent. Half or more of the programs in the conference are abusing grey area’s of the rules or worse. So this if LSU gets voted out it’s simply because the other members could and didn’t like them. A popularity contest that everyone member school in the league would lose but Vandy because we all hate each other and Vandy is a non threat in both major revenue sports and always has been.

And LSU backs down. A nice little win for Sankey.

Why? What did LSU do wrong? Why would you kick an SEC powerhouse like LSU. They’ll drop UK next then.

Insane the level of hate for players that are absolutely no different than Afari or Mark Mitchell.

I don't want to at all. I've been saying I'm a fan of what they are doing. I was just saying if the SEC did kick them out. But kicking them out would be bad imo. I'd rather keep them than replace them but if they did kick them you can't replace them with a Virginia....heck id take West Virginia before Virginia.

I wouldn't be shocked if they do it. They don't need LSU. There are a half dozen teams that would gladly take their place. This is about BIG money and power. Like every thing else in the college quagmire this will ultimately be decided in the courts.

They don't need LSU but I'm sure when it comes to money, getting rid of one of the premier programs in the conference isnt the smartest move. I'd like to see LSU leave on their own and say F the SEC more than I would like to see the SEC kick them if that even makes sense.

I don't like the NCAA or the SEC. Waiting till they don't exist.
