Won't happen. Some judge will issue a restraining order and the lawyers will argue over it for years. By then the whole thing will be irrelevant. CFB will have moved to a total pro mode. It is mostly there now.

The SEC doesn't have the balls to pull that off
The Big Ten would offer membership within an hour

We gonna find out though, who has the balls, and who is ball less. Later today.

Watched Paul Finebaum . He thinks it’s possible they give LSU the boot . LSU hasn’t issued any statements and neither has Kiffin . Lane not saying anything is probably the best . Interesting days ahead .

I'm not defending LSU or Kiffin at all--I just can't see this happening
It would be the most insane thing maybe in the history of sports
LSU probably already has Big XII, ACC and Pac XII offers just in case lol

LSU and ND will form their own conference except they never play each other. The NCAA will then cave and declare that the conference winner gets an auto birth in to the playoff. Since they will both tie with 0-0 conference records, they both get in.
They’ll play each other. It’ll be the Brian Kelly bowl.

Maybe this saves them from being expelled, but according to Josh Pate, the damage was already done and the SEC presidents are done with LSU.

Obviously the SEC had the votes to expel LSU otherwise they would not have pushed to have a vote so quick. Now that LSU has backed down, the SEC commissioners are going to use the threat of this vote over LSU Admins heads to reign in Kiffin. He has been pushing the envelope on rules since he got to LSU and LSU Admins have done nothing to slow him down. With the threat of this vote LSU Admins will now be forced to reign in Kiffin finally.

according to him, the Governor of the state is calling the shots with the football team, not the President or the AD. Which is insane but not unbelievable considering the state/south.

Living in Alabama mid 1970's, it was common knowledge that Gov George Wallace would routinely try to get involved in Bear Bryant's business. He felt that since he was the Governor, and Alabama was the flagship institution, he had a right to get involved. The major difference is Bryant was smart enough to know when to put limits on what Wallace got involved with.

Funny how awful lawyers are until you need one. Contrary to popular commentary what Shakespeare actually said was if you want total anarchy the first thing you do is kill all the lawyers.

Isn't there a court order that says LSU has to roster these NFL players? Doesn't that have to be dropped or dismissed first? Heard Ross Dellinger talking about it. And yeah, they only need 11 votes to expel. Dellinger also said they were very serious about booting LSU as this is sort of a first step in their eventual self-governance model.

Update: Sue-a-palooza!
