I get that it's week one, but tomorrow is a truly awful slate. All you gotta do is look down the list of point spreads.
It's still football. Better than any sport out there. Enjoy while you can. Goes by too fast.

Next week’s slate is bringing some heat
Fewer and fewer teams are going to want to play a P4 non-conference game. It's all about making the playoffs and the path is so much easier if you schedule non-P4 teams.
Had Notre Dame scheduled Bowling Green instead of Miamo or aTm, they would have made the playoffs. No one wants to be the next Notre Dame.
Transfer portal era feels kind of like random roster simulations on NCAA 2027...
I’m the opposite - would love to see ND lose and hopefully get bounced from the playoffs. Their schedule is weak this year.
I’m not a Notre Dame fan. I especially dislike Wisconsin and the Big 10 in general.

Watching ND play an average B1G team and look like a perfect match is hilarious.
Remember that Iowa team that reeled off 12 wins in 2015, but everyone with half a brain knew they were just an average B1G team with an easy schedule and a couple lucky bounces?

I’ve long despised Wisconsin but now that Eichorst is there, I hope their entire athletic department goes straight down the toilet.
I don’t care for Notre Dame but I prefer to see Wisconsin get pummeled. **** Barry Alvarez for recommending Eichorst for the Nebraska AD job.

Wisconsin sure looked boring and vanilla. I hate that we don't play them, Penn St or Michigan this year. I don't know exactly why but those are the 3 B1G teams I like watching watching our Huskers go up against the most.

Eichorst hiring Riley was the start of down fall of our program that we haven’t recovered from.
I truly like Mike Riley. I think he’s a great guy and really knows the X’s and O’s. His problem is he needed self motivated players and he walked in to situation where 90% of the team was pissed that Bo got fired. Then Eichorst delivered the coup de gras by making him fire Banker. They were looking for a nice guy. They hired one and if not for Eichorst’s interference he probably would have won enough to stay employed for a while longer.
His failure to buy a house and fully commit to NU (buy a house) was a mistake. NFL coaches can get away with coaching in MN but spending most of the rest of the year in a vacation climate. College coaches can’t. It wasn’t a good hire on several levels. Great guy. Not a great hire.
He has hied 2 football coaches at universities with Blue blood history. Al Golden at Miami and Riley here. That says it all about his ability.
I feel it started when Harvey hired Eichorst.
Yep Perlman needed to be shown the door . He hired two ADs Steve P and Eichorst and there first Job was the fire the football coaches. Steve Fired frank after a 10 win season and Eichorst fired Bo after a 9 win season. He just hoped the would find someone better. Unfortunately neither did. Harvy can burn in hell Imo .

Riley was 19-19 in conference play. Rhule is 10-17. If Riley was bad...then what do we have now.
