Better than the nepo babies at that position.
I think the issue is that he and Mozee are slot receivers playing running back.Nelson isn't a P4 RB. No vision. An atheletic freak looks good in practice simulations but doesn't mean anything in a game .
Yeah, he really brings nothing to the table lolNelson isn't a P4 RB. No vision. An atheletic freak looks good in practice simulations but doesn't mean anything in a game .
Mozee looked great on his first run

He’s got legit straight line speed, and as one of three guys, that’s a good quality IMO.Disagree in Nelson. Im not high on Mozee at all. I just don't see any burst, explosion or quicks. When I watched the media showing the little clips during practice they attended I thought the same thing. He's just not fast/quick enough for me.
I don't have much problem with Nelson. He's not as shifty as a guy his size needs to be. He needs to work on that. But I think it's him and Rule and then a huge gap.
Holla
I agree. I wanna like Mozee so bad but I simply don't see it with him. He’s got legit straight line speed, and as one of three guys, that’s a good quality IMO.
Looks great in the open field struggles behind the line of scrimmage. Needs to hit the hole like he hits well you know.Nelson isn't a P4 RB. No vision. An atheletic freak looks good in practice simulations but doesn't mean anything in a game .
He can't read a block or find the gear to be in behind scrimmage. He won't beat defenders to the edge in the B1G like he could at times today. Rule is already better than him at that.Looks great in the open field struggles behind the line of scrimmage. Needs to hit the hole like he hits well you know.
That was my take away by the end of the game.Rule looks special. FINALLY!!! Excited to have what looks like a premier back again. Long season ahead but I am ready to give Barthel a break if Rule is the real deal. The room looks nice.
IMO we started the 3rd best RB. SMH. What I saw today:
1. Rule
----------
2. Nelson
3. Mozee
Since last year? We had to wait a whole bowl game?Rule looks special. FINALLY!!! Excited to have what looks like a premier back again. Long season ahead but I am ready to give Barthel a break if Rule is the real deal. The room looks nice.

Dude, that is funny! I am getting old and had a major brain freeze. LOL!! It just feels like it's been forever - EJ, forgive me!Since last year? We had to wait a whole bowl game?
Perfectly fine to not start Rule right away. Even Adrian Peterson had to wait 3 or 4 games before Oklahoma let him start his freshman year and the dude should have won the heisman that year. Not saying he’s AP, but even if a true freshman is by far the best back you don’t start him the first game.Rule looks special. FINALLY!!! Excited to have what looks like a premier back again. I called it in the spring and again in August. Stud.rule looks like the #1 rb thus far
Nelson’s run after catch for that long TD was impressive. We have 3 good backs. We’ll see if one of them can be great.Looks great in the open field struggles behind the line of scrimmage. Needs to hit the hole like he hits well you know.
