You should hear how they define “alive”.For the record, I just want to declare that whoever came up with the Massachusetts backward-@$$ burden of proof standard for insanity is a 17n retard.
Woman that murdered her three small kids got a mistrial. What in the Fox News are we upset at today? It's football season, ladies.
Is there anything that you won't post about it in a bloviating contrarian fashion?Up until just now, I had never read about this case or heard anything about it. I knew some people were upset that white women were supporting a woman on trial, but didnt know anything about the case/story.
After 5min of reading...I dont understand why this is apparently a national story or why people on SPS would be so invested in it.
- If she was insane at the time, then she should be comitted and held so she can receive the mental help needed(I hear a whole lot here continually say more mental health care is needed).
- If she wasnt insane at the time, then she should be in prison.
This seems pretty straight forward.
Why are people so passionately taking a side?
Why are these sides seemingly politically aligned?
I really dont follow why this is captivating and why its almost tribalistic in opinion.
I am going to watch MSU volleyball tonight- hope they sweep the B10 teams after taking down Iowa last night!
And tomorrow I will watch MSU hopefully win their opening football game of the season.
I bet I dont hear anything about some murder case in MA this weekend because even though I am middle aged and boring, I still have better shit to do.
All the upvotes, the precedence has been setIf hormones can be an excuse for a methodical triple murder, we might need to restrict the rights of those individuals who can suffer from that. They simply can’t be trusted to make big decisions or have responsibility. I don’t make the rules. Repeal the 19th.
How am I being contrarian? Is there anything that you won't post about it in a bloviating contrarian fashion?
The literal witch murdered her kids and people out there are sending her effing fan mail. It’s sick and deranged. How am I being contrarian?
I guess I am saying 'I dont understand why people are so invested in this' while some here clearly are invested..is that really contrarian?
My apologies if it is.
It’s legal to murder your children in Massachusetts. She just procrastinated a little longer than others. The literal witch murdered her kids and people out there are sending her effing fan mail. It’s sick and deranged.
You have a point. That area of the country is a hell holeIt’s legal to murder your children in Massachusetts. She just procrastinated a little longer than others.
I am not defending her or justifying what she admits she did.The literal witch murdered her kids and people out there are sending her effing fan mail. It’s sick and deranged.
I think people are invested b/c we are seeing that we are living in a moment in time where people defend the accused who shot a man in the back of the head (all caught on camera), where people celebrate abortion up to the birth at 9 months, and where someone can murder, not one, not two, but the children all at one moment of time, and people are lining up to defend her right to do so... I'm guessing that kind of sums up why moral, law abiding, folk would become invested in thisHow am I being contrarian?

Translation: “‘What is truth?’ retorted Pilate”Why are people so passionately taking a side?
Because people are sending her fan mail. Supporting her outside of the courthouse. It’s showing how many insanely crazy nutbags (mostly women) are running around. That’s not normal behavior. But now however, it appears that it is in fact normal. She had three children and killed them. She deserves the chair…three times if possibleI am not defending her or justifying what she admits she did.
As for people sending her fan mail, yeah that is odd. That doesn’t clarify why people and media are so invested in the case though...it's just an example that shows people are invested.
Or raped. If you murder someone you're insane, if you murder 3 of your kids you should be executed. Hormones are not an excuse, if so release all the males that murdered someone because their Testosterone got in the way.
I too had never heard of this case before this thread (I avoid social media boomerslop as much as I can), but from what I'm reading, this trial was to determine whether she goes to regular prison or the loony bin. "Walking free" isn't on the table. So she claims she’s insane and they have to prove her wrong???? That’s almost impossible. You have to prove what was going on inside her head. Anyone can say anything then. That whole state needs an enema. If she walks free, or shall I say rolls free, it will open up a whole can of worms nobody is ready for.

Attractive??? She looks like a demon. Technically, yes she would go to an institution. UNTIL they did their yearly exam and deemed her to be not insane anymore and they let her out. That has happened before and would likely happen here. Especially in MassachusettsI too had never heard of this case before this thread (I avoid social media boomerslop as much as I can), but from what I'm reading, this trial was to determine whether she goes to regular prison or the loony bin. I think what we're seeing is the media giving undue coverage about an attractive white woman criminal and an addicted audience lapping up the outrage.
Jesus Chris what?Jesus Christ
She didn't even have to perform a headbutt off the top rope 200 times a year for 15 years to do it.Wonder if the same people will defend Chris Benoit?

I don't think many people on "the left" have heard about this story yet, but maybe word will get out. It's what you get when progressivism and liberalism start infecting society. However, to that point, I'm surprised some on the left aren't dragging her over the coals for being "privileged and white." If they aren't already, that is.
So you agree that she won't "walk free" but then immediately flip and say she actually will? Do you have stats to back that up?Attractive??? She looks like a demon. You’re ok with a woman killing her kids. Got it. And no I can’t give you any of that. All I see is a woman that killed her kids and deserves to fry.So you agree that she won't "walk free" but then immediately flip and say she actually will? Do you have stats to back that up?
Also, can you compare rates for mental institutions vs. paroles from prison, adjusted for state, age, gender, etc., to back up your assertion?
Sure, hypothetically prisons or mental hospitals can let people out early under strict guidelines, but that's a different outrage altogether than the outrage over which destination she ends up at, isn't it?
