So Rhule trying to make Millard South soft too?
Were those 24 rushing attempts designed run plays for Trae? Maybe they were, idk.
Last time I checked, it’s a good idea to have the ball in the hands of your best player as much as possible. From our standpoint, yeah I didn’t like to see him take some of those hits, but that’s the way he plays. HUGE upgrade over what we’ve seen the past two years.
Will Rhule and other coaches get up to see him this season? I think they need to keep recruiting him.
He’s not wrong. Whether Rhule can build a competitive team with Additional NIL resources…. That’s another story. I don’t think he can.
I mean isn't watching a random junior you don't know or care about play football kind of creepy then? If the kid is taking money, he is an entertainer, and must deal with the consequences of the decision. All football players decide to "get on stage". They don't need to. They are only paid because they provide meaningless distraction to millions of people through the drama of the sport. There are thousands of teams they could play on for free for the love of the game. They love the attention and the payouts and there are consequences for that.
Wait wut? Didnt Rhule say that he has received all that he needs to be competitive with anyone when there was a boost of NIL during the off season? I'm nearly certain that he did.

You could make an argument that he needs more NIL to compete with the playoff-type teams. But needing more to avoid floundering ? Needing more to consistently compete with (much less beat) the Iowa's and Minnesota's ? Unacceptable
No, that was during the season last year that he sold that load of crap, shortly after he and his agent fleeced our AD for a raise and extension. After the season, when he produced the 62nd ranked overall class, he walked it all back and sold the load of crap that once he got all he needed to be competitive with anyone, all the other teams in college football raised their spend to compete with us and outspent us and put us back at a disadvantage. Try to keep up with his loads of crap would ya?
Watching someone play from the stands and sliding into his DMs are not the same. You know this.
NU needs to prove it can use its "decent" money well before there is heavy investment. I guarantee when we get a coach who squeezes the most out of the situation...ie...9 wins, beating a top 25 team, winning a game in November, you will see the money flow in. I don't know why but I also feel that there will be some involvement from Tom Ricketts eventually. He is a huge husker fan, and has done an amazing job with the cubs...being fiscally responsible by building a player first team and growing the value of the team.
