It would be nice that if on a 3rd and long situation, their QB doesnt scramble for 15+ yards and take away any momentum we had.Hopefully they will be in a position they have to pass a lot, and are unable to call runs because they need chunks. I'll guess 150yrds though.
175+... We have a undersized backup at PITT starting at DT for us. I want to be wrong, but nothing but in game performance will make me feel otherwiseWhat say you?
Our starting D tackle is now 2nd string and is likely better than he was last year … so there’s a small change.Remind me how our DL improved from last year in terms of size and talent
Don't love the size I see on the depth chart after I talked myself into ignoring that last yearOur starting D tackle is now 2nd string and is likely better than he was last year … so there’s a small change.
The entire scheme has changed as well. The DC last year was a guy who heavily favored protecting the secondary, giving up chunk run plays, but protecting against the pass and long runs. We had great pass efficiency defense, and one of the worst run defenses. I expect this to flip a bit...our line should look a lot more stout despite not getting better just because they were getting their **** pushed in all year last year due to scheme. But, any team who can pass will be a lot more successful. Hell, with the lack of time that qbs have with WRs, and the amount of turnover I would load up against the run and force teams to consistently beat man to man coverage. The defense has the advantage any time there is unfamiliarity and lack of cohesion on an offense.Remind me how our DL improved from last year in terms of size and talent
