The guy avg 20ppg in the Big10 and shot 40% from 3. Would be a great addition, basically a rich man's Collin Chandler.
I’m tired. Whatever happens it has to happen quick.
I mean...I would be happy to add him to the roster. Will wait for anyone reputable to say that we're still pursuing him to put any stock into it though.
IF Kam were totally healthy, I wouldn't see this as a good addition. However, with Kam still recovering, I agree with many others that Tyson could be a valuable insurance policy to allow Kam to not rush back too soon... again
He's more a guy who keeps the floor from falling further rather than a guy who raises the ceiling.

I know beggars can't be choosers, but this doesn't really fix the issue on the team. I really wish we would have been able to keep Mo Dioubate.

You would have to play 2 guard 2 wing and a center and just hope whoever the wings are can guard a 4. Cade isn’t coming off the bench, but next to Milan you have the 2 best shooters in CBB. We just still wouldn’t be able to guard a cone
Just scrub the program at this point. We have an AD that’s apparently hiding in the closet, a coach that can’t coach, and president that seems to hate sports.
Here's a look at Tyson's career stats ... he had a good year last year for the Gophers after a very disappointing one with the Tar Heels. He can shoot it !!

I didn't mind MoD, but he was a square peg. He needed to go somewhere that doesn't require a passing and shooting threat at the 4.
If we get Cade the Offense is almost unstoppable any where beyond the three point is liable to get shoots from, our defense might be mid but if it’s between no Cade and Cade I’m taking Cade 100%
if we got Trey Kaufman renn it would be like Mark Mitchell pretty much, little to no Three point game but could always get you a bucket if you pass it to him. And his rebounding is 10x better than Mitchell so that would help tremendously

Mitchell made sense if Pope is concerned about the PF with NDaiye and McBride. Tyson fits the look and feel of the team you already have. He works in the interchangeable parts approach. Mitchell worked in the “we don’t have one” approach.
F it just ride with what you have. I can't wait till all these previous classes are out of the way so we can move on and do 5-5 and get back to real college basketball. .

The NCAA needs to just blanket everyone, or no one and let us get this train back on the tracks. Quit babying around. Make a stance and stand firm this case here and this case here and this one's fighting for this here and it doesn't cover here and blah blah blah. Make a stance and let's ride with it and get it lined out.

Tyson won't fix the huge hole at the 4 this team has.
To be fair no one really knows how the 4 (or some other positions) will play out. I’ll at least wait to see the team play and judge from there.
The fact that mr positive Pope was so desperate to add Mitchell tell me plenty.
TKR with Sankey in contempt of court would be the just outcome. Tyson doesn't move the needle for me but probably better than not adding anyone at all.

The clowns are guys like you who never see Pope as the problem. It's Pope's fault he missed on so many recruits that led to a desperation in August for a game changer.
Would love to ride with what we have cohesion wise. But there is a glaring injury depth hole issue at Center. Even if we disregard the skill level of our current Power Forwards on the roster and avoid whether they are good enough or not, if Franck can't stay healthy, and/or if Moreno gets banged up, there is a MAJOR drop off to Potter.
Can we find a remaining player who is better than Potter to play the 5 if needed? If yes, use the 15th spot on that, it can't hurt us.
Can we find a remaining player who is better at the 4 than Uzi and McBride? If yes, and you plan to use Uzi as a spot minute 5 to rest Moreno if Franck isn't healthy, then use the 15th spot on that, it can't hurt us. I still think Kohler was the best option (fit and eligibility wise) and should have been Pope's all in, full focus, go get player for spot 15.

Yeah I don't get the argument on that side at all. The coaches had them for several weeks of practice and went full bore to get Kohler or Mitchell.

Are you serious? Mo was horrible. He was only focused on showing he had an outside game for his NBA future and he clearly doesn't have an outside game. I cussed and threw **** every time he took a 3. Never seen a worse shooter at the college level. Selfish. So glad he left
