There was during the summer but then Dana said backup tight ends were disappointing him so idk.
Yeah that was just nonsense to tell the kid he’ll never have to actually put his hand down.
He was always a project IMO. Athletic freak, but never played that fast. Reminds me of the Burke kid who went to Oregon…that kid is now a dude though.
So coaching matters?
Vrzal told me he was the most overrated player in the state that had a long way to go when he left Westside for Nebraska.
Bell was looking good a year ago before he blew his knee in the Spring game.
Excited for Tyson Terry at defensive tackle has a ton off potential.
Well, it won't be experience that kills us...any NFL picks in the two deep though?
Without a good team season or individually productive seasons, doubtful it’s more than 2.
I can see Evans and Pritchett. After them, the rest of the guys are gonna need a ‘prove it’ season.
Anthony Jones better be a stud if they think he should be starting ahead of Pietrzak. I'm sure snaps will be spread evenly but still.
You should be excited to see Chambliss. He's the real deal. But there is still a chance you may have to wait an extra week to see him.
Chambliss, unless we can pay him to stay, which we might be able to. Unless he's in his fifth year, I don't know his past.
I can't speak to his rating in high school and whether it was warranted, but I think him being left off has more to do with the guys who are on it.

Anyone know how Bonner has look this fall? I am kind of excited to get him back on the field.
Rhule and Dana had positive things to say. Sounds like he's back to 100.
Maybe Benning is just a fantastic high school player without quite enough size+athleticism for college? I don't know there.
I do know that his little brother Micah is an absolute stud safety at OW though. Man that kid gets downhill.

Damon talked a lot, maybe too much, about his boys when Caleb was a senior. If I remember correctly he indicated that Caleb maybe didn’t have quite the potential of his younger brother.
I love Benning too. Heard he was right there with the other guys until he got hurt. Not gonna lie that's the position I'm worried about the most on the team.
McDougle doesn't quite do it for me watching clips. I guess I'll have to watch him live to get a better feel.
Guthrie left a lot to be desired last year being nice. I know he was young so I'm trying to be patient but man he put some bad stuff on tape.
Benning I loved his high school clips but seems eveeytime he's set to make a move the injury bug his.

McDougle has experienced in this scheme on defense till someone does better he needs to be there.
Plenty of depth to win some more conference games this year. Hopefully it won’t take half a season to find who the true starters will be.
2 sophomores I'm hoping POP this year are Mills (WR) and Merritt (LB). Massive potential to jump - although both are 2's.
RVP not starting? With his performance last year - doesn't surprise me. But the talk around him? Surprises me he's running with the 2's. Was hoping for a breakthrough - we'll see.
I'm a little disappointed Tree isn't starting on the OL. Gottula is better than him? Sigh... Trust Geep yes... but want some better talent there.
Maybe most excited about our LB's!
