I still have a hoodie I bought in '90 when I was a freshman. It's in a box somewhere because I don't fit in it any longer.

Bruce this is absolutely fantastic. It's too bad our current "Maroon 85's" aren't an exact replica of this jersey. Even the number and letter font aren't being used. Heck I don't even think they are putting last names on jerseys anymore. Do you know what company made your jersey?
I've got a truly historic piece of walking bully memorabilia that I'm not revealing until the right moment. Something I've only seen once and never seen again. It's a poor man's Holy Grail.
How old are these shirts now? It's been in this same bag since the day after they gave them out?
This is not apparel but it's probably the oldest thing I've got. Its Montgomery Hall but on this plate it says "Science Hall Agricultural College, Miss"
I used AI and asked what the official names of MSU have been over the years and it returned "The Agricultural & Mechanical College of the State of Mississippi (1878-1932), " Mississippi State College" (1932-1958) and MSU (1958-Present) so I guess this was from sometime during the 1878-1932 era. It was given to me by a Great Uncle that graduated from here in 1938 but no idea when or how he got it

I guarantee I still have some great stuff from the 80's, but I'd have to go rummaging through my parents' basement to find it. Maybe one day, hopefully not soon.
I have a '96 Final Four tie (technically not MSU specific but it counts in my mind). Friend found it on ebay for like $5 and got it for me. Still yet to wear it though
I bought a set of plates like this for my mom from the centennial celebration in 1978 from the Warehouse in Starkville. Had some awesome drawings of the building on campus in maroon.
I figured you might have a wagon wheel from when you traveled to college by horse and buggy. **
There’s a guy at our church that actually did that in the early 60s to get to Starkville from Hernando.

I do not. I wore that same jersey all 4 years. That's when Baseball spent money like those football guys want them to spend now.
Also just so you know the baseballs with numbers at the bottom are
18 - MSU HR record (at the time)
21 - SEC HR record
28 - Because it could have been my last
29 - In CWS and tied NCAA HR record.
The three on the right side are from a Little League All Star game where I hit 3 in a game. The only time I ever did that.
The two lower left are team signed balls for 79 and 81

Reason I brought it up was a guy I worked for in high school graduated from here and he hitched every time he went back and forth to/from S MS except the first time he came up. He rode the train from down there to the crossroads because his parents paid for it the first time and after that he was on his own. He got on another train at the crossroads that came over here. Great stories he told me about living in Old Main, dances at the old YMCA building, steam tunnels, using Eckies Pond as an irrigation source for the green houses and old arboretum where the band practice field is now. They would use a small pump to pump the water up into that tall cistern that is still there by Eckies to get extra head pressure, then open a flood gate (that you can still see at Eckies) and the water naturally ran down hill to that arboretum, you can still see the little valley it ran through to get down there. There's a big monument there that also describes it.
