Tough night last night but first match. A little sloppy at times. Hopefully they clean it up. Had to be awkward playing in a big stadium like that trying to pick up the ball at times against that background.

The passing needs to be much better than it was last night. Falduto did not have a good start to the match. Bad passing that runs the setter all over the court ultimately has a huge negative effect on the hitters.

Hopefully, someone will find the compromising pictures of KSC that keeps Sellman starting and seeing significant minutes. Glad to see Burgdorf replace her last night. Sellman has never hit even .200 for a season. I would continue to roll the dice with Burgdorf. You need someone to play 6 rotations as you don't have enough substitutions otherwise. Sellman is what her play shows that she is. At this point, she isn't going to improve.

Lauenstein has a big arm. We are lucky to have her transfer in.

For some reason, I didn't think about Fin being Larry's daughter until now--way slow on that

The competition was a step down, but still the girls looked good today. Burgdorf played well in both the front court and back court. The offense was varied and Stucky played a great game both spreading around the ball and getting kills when she chose to go over on 2. It was an encouraging performance.

They were interviewing some volleyball player in the stands and asked her about how big volleyball can be. She said (paraphrasing) that "it can be bigger than any sport out there because, sorry but the girls are pretty" then she talked about it being fast paced. Loved her honesty. Volleyball and tennis are by far the best two women's sports--and, yes, being pretty helps. Just like women love male athletes--see Sam Hartman's fan base lol

Lost the 2nd set 25-21

Only ranked #13. Was PSU not able to take advantage of the NATTY. o_O ? It seems that they haven’t built off of it.

I just follow their wins/losses, don't know any details about this team. I see they're losing to other ranked teams. What are they lacking and do you see them improving to the point of making the NCAA playoffs this season?
