Best at practice so far? We do have to trust the staff to get these things right especially after saying (paraphrasing) they would tailor the O and D to the best available talent. But IMO it will take a couple games for that to get worked out. My biggest question is how well can these players play together early.

In all honesty, we have fun criticizing everything here, football or not football. It's therapeutic.Reminds me of my boy's basketball coach who went ballistic on a helicopter father who chased him down on Senior Night to complain that his son didn't log enough minutes. The son was a three year starter and a great kid....the father not so much. Coach finally snapped after three years of trying to be diplomatic and let Dad have it...."Mr X, you wouldn't be happy if your son started every game, played every minute, got every rebound and took every shot in the game." Coach played at Syracuse and was about 6'8" and dad quickly realized that discretion was the better part of valor. As for Coach Campbell, I wonder will you love me in December as you loved me in August?
As for Franklin, it was time to go imho. Too up, too down, too many big losses, too many hair-brained football sequences.
Will Campbell be better? Have no idea but he appears to embrace a rugged style of football that we haven't seen for awhile. Maybe he will win more, maybe he won't. Either way, we're still here entertaining ourselves.
Never disputed that a HC change was needed. I may have concerns about the timing and the search but I think it could work out positively for both Franklin and Campbell. But, you don't fire a coach with Franklin's record to see if "possibly" you hired "little Jack Horner." Kraft was very clear about his expectations for the next coach. We are entertaining ourselves.....but the tone won't be so engaging if wins aren't prolific.
When you bring your QB, RB, WRs, TEs and offensive coordinator with you, I don't think there's much tailoring to do.
Defensively, I think the DC at ISU retired, otherwise I think he'd be here instead of DL.

Yeah, but he really doesn't do that. He's usually only responding to someone else who has taken an opportunity to crap on Franklin. Then, yes, he goes nonstop back and forth ... with people who also choose to go nonstop back and forth ... but the reality is, the same people who couldn't stop calling for Franklin's departure for YEARS before he was ultimately fired, are the same ones who can't let Franklin go now, and they're the ones ruining the threads. And if you simply either suggest they stop worrying about Franklin, or you defend Franklin ... regardless of whether or not you indicate support for Campbell & Co. (and, I may have missed it, but I haven't seen anyone NOT support Campbell), you are somehow considered the problem.
That's weird. That's creepy.
