Rochester will get a forfeit over Eisenhower. There will be a 6 pm JV contest w/Eisenhower at Rochester on Friday.

All.... A fun trip to Joliet. Had time for a short meet and greet with Hilltopper fans that were alreaady whooping it up on their side of the stadium parking lot as well as talking with others who parked on the away side as SHG fans did tailgating as well.

A large crowd attended many that certainly appeared not from either camps combatants. Darn if I didn't notice again from afar on the other side a couple of gents walking into the Hilltopper stands wearing those unique t-shirts I noticed back in 2024. Would like to mention there are many schools everywhere that have the same mascot name. Anyway on the front of the shirt Rocket football and on the back three lines. One could surmise the first two lines are about offense but who really knows. L1 and L2... " aggravated battery from the air", and "assault from the ground." The last line around the bottom of the shirt cuff rather odd as well line three "criminals make good football players."

All.... For the second straight week I have heard from some of the gents on 1450am sports radio that SHS is fine, has talent and will be ok. Jacksonville comes into town next and even though Massey is only showing a close win projection of 35-31 for the Crimsons (it will be more ) I think the Senator ship is in trouble. The following week is SHG before they play the other two public city teams by the way.

It was mentioned on the radio talking about the Collinsville game that Jacob Scheffler came in at some point in time as the quarterback. I recall hearing after week one where he received some playing time at qb because starter Andrew Benning got dinged up a bit in a game the Comanches were way out in front in and there was no need to keep him playing.

Andrew Benning passing for the two games this year is 17-38 88 yards and two picks . Sophomore Jacob Scheffler in limited action is 5-9 136 yards and one intereception. I'm quite curious who will be the quarterback next week when Jacksonville comes calling. The Senators give up a lot if young Mr. Scheffler happens to get the nod because he is a very good receiver.
