A packed house at Mitchell Stadium in Bluefield, WV, with about 11,000 on hand. In the 100th all time meeting between Preseason VA Preps Class 2 number one ranked Graham and it's crosstown rival Bluefield, WV, ranked number one in WV AA. The Beavers were favored and returns most of the entire team and has a D1 QB and WR, but the G-Men got em. 40-33 was the final. The game pretty much went down the wire like so many other historical matchups between these 2 schools.
Graham looked better than what I thought they would look and I didn't think we would win because Bluefield is dynamite this year with size, speed, and talent seemingly at every position. Congrats GMen. Next week, Heritage comes to town..Should be fun.
