I swear on this forum there at least 10 University burner accounts that troll constantly. It’s the same user names that laugh at your post or try and public shame you when you don’t agree with them. They know our chances are slim in getting this kid, but it’s their job to create hype for the program along with the local media. I hate that they try and control the narrative all the time…..like it actually hurts your credibility when you openly lie all the time.
In the older days of Rivals, I figured out the accounts from the IA FB program. Back then you could search for names of coaches and it would show their usernames. They had ten accounts in all. It looks like they still have at least one now.

Don't quit your day job.
Detective work is not for you. My post was one with logic and historical evidence at its core.

Seriously, attempt to name another Iowa lead guard other than Bennett, Dre, or Ronnie Lester who was the focal point of a scouting report.

BJ could shoot and quasi facilitate. He wasn't a break you down guard. He also had future NBA players Ed, Brad, Kevin, Clarence Bill, and Roy with him.

We have a decent chance to land CD. He announced his visit to Iowa and no others (so far). He's also undoubtedly, still talking with other programs and may have other visits in his mind that he hasn't announced b/c he wants to see how Iowa's new additions look come November. He's made eye contact w/ an attractive new interest in town, they're talking, are going on a date soon and he's intrigued by what he's hearing and seeing so far. But...he wants to see if the talk is just wishful flirtations or if the family has the ability to reach their stated goals which he aligns with and would like to commit to. Some choose partners b/c of dollar signs and others b/c of shared values, honesty and pleasure of company. It'll be interesting to see how this one goes.

I guess I don’t understand your line of thinking and why you continue to beat this same drum. No one is in the dark about how stiff the competition will be for this kid. Everyone gets it.

I can’t speak to the burner accounts/trolls whom you are referring to, but I can say it’s not just Iowa media saying Iowa has a realistic chance. There was a local Fort Lauderdale article back in July that talked about how much CD was blowing up and that Iowa and Miami were the clear favorites right now. Of course, that is always subject to change, but at this time (until there is something different put out there), there’s no reason to accept anything else other than what is at face value.

We can all predict and make assumptions based on past experience, but the reality is the unexpected occurs all the time. I guess what I (and it seems others) reject is the idea this is another obvious Fran McCaffrey bridesmaid scenario about to predictably play out. I don’t think so. Yes, of course, the final outcome could very well be CD puts on a Duke or Kentucky hat come announcement day, but do you honestly believe CD would be stringing BMC along this whole time if he weren’t serious about Iowa? I mean, Jesus, the kid legitimately has Iowa as the leader right now. Has that ever been the case when Fran was chasing high-profile skirt? (I’m genuinely asking.)

What do you propose BMC do? “Well, ya know, it’s cool you are flirting back, but you’re obviously too hot of a chick, so I am just gonna ghost you before you do it to me.” Is that the approach you want him to take?

Tyler Ulis comes to mind. Seems like we were the front runner until Kentucky came calling a week or so before signing day.

I mean, we always knew Iowa was going to have to find a way to pony up some major dough to get this kid to come to Iowa. Nothing has changed on that front.

If the kid is just chasing the biggest payday, no matter how competitive of an NIL package and good of a fit a school has to offer, then it was never meant to be.

My sense is if he was JUST chasing a bag, we wouldn't be in it. Not saying he doesn't want to be paid fairly....but I don't get the sense he's going to the highest bidder. May end up being wrong, but that's my read on things at this point.

Money definitely matters, guys.
It was always going to matter. Like I said Iowa is going to have to get to at least 80% of what a top bidder might throw out in my opinion. I’m guessing the number is going to end up around 4 million

The recruiting prediction machine now has us 4th behind the in-state schools.

that means nothing at this point. it has location bias factored into it's predictive modeling
