Big Tens are headed to Nationwide Arena in 2026-2027; will be at a neutral site for first time

I mentioned this was happening a couple weeks ago in a thread. Since it's off campus it's neutral 🤷
Yep, I remembe that. There was talk of it at Big Tens as well, though the going rate back then seemed to think it was headed to Indy.

And yeah, I agree with the use of neutral being a bit much seeing that it's still in Columbus, but, that's what they're going with.

I’m ok with the concern to maximize dollars but hope that several different geographic locations will be considered going forward

I'd have to think that it will. Lots of options across the conference's footprint, though how many of them are actually "neutral" sites will likely be up for debate.

The odds of availability during that 1st or 2nd weekend in March could be an issue for sites that have professional sports teams, particularly those having both a professional basketball and hockey team to accommodate.
It’s certainly doable with advance planning, but yeah, makes it easier in Columbus or Pittsburgh compared to Philly or DC, for sure.
