Whatever is happening, Putin will be taking advantage of Trump again.
As a former Intel analyst, I thought that too. Then, the war started. It took me 3 months before I bet a friend that Russia couldn't win without a nuke. I stand by that.
Nervous that’s where we are headed. We are definitely spooked about something.

This story of CIA Director John Ratcliffe flying to Moscow aboard a “military plane,” is a big deal.

Do you remember where Edward Snowden worked before he joined the NSA?
He worked for the CIA and was recruited by John Brennan, to infiltrate the NSA and expose their secret program that captures all electronic data.
But the timing of his NSA exposure was planned by Brennan.
It happened in 2013, while the Obama administration was “secretly” negotiating with Iran on their nuclear deal.
The exposure of the NSA program was meant to bring Congressional investigations and to “blind” the NSA as Obama funded and armed the Iranian regime that Trump is now destroying.
Snowden was an inside player in this TREASON.

I also do not think they have “plenty” of unused tech. The war exposed their stuff was not up to old NATO weaponry. The money was stolen by corrrupt military official. The only card they have left is tactical or full nukes.

at most firms when the ceo becomes completely ineffective (even when there's no obvious mistake) and/or nobody respects him/her, they are replaced. even democracies operate that way -- britain succesfully pushed out several ineffective prime ministers mid-term...granted they are still effed in many ways but they are striving at least. a governance system like ours proven over centuries is failing in this respect...

I went into Laura Seligman's tweet above and asked grok what kind of provocations and what countries the WSJ article is talking about:
"Hybrid provocations by Russia against NATO members have primarily involved airspace violations (drones and aircraft), sabotage of critical infrastructure, cyberattacks, and other sub-threshold actions short of conventional military assault. The countries most frequently affected are on NATO’s eastern flank, especially the Baltic states (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), Poland, and Romania, with incidents also reported in Germany, Finland, and elsewhere.
These actions form part of an ongoing hybrid/gray-zone campaign that has intensified in 2025–2026 while the war in Ukraine continues. Specific examples reported by officials and media include:
