Voted for Ralph and got 3 others that hadn't voted previously to do the same. I'm in the Upstate

From what I've seen, the early and absentee voting had been lower in the Darline areas (PeeDee, Lowcountry, etc) and higher in the Norman areas (Upstate and some midlands). Hopefully that trend continues today and Norman wins comfortably.

For those wondering why Trump would endorse Darline, he almost always endorses the more liberal republican running and has done so for 10 years. Now, with Darline, she's likely to be especially loyal and that's what he prizes most of all, so that's a little different. But, the Cornyn's, Tillis' and others that always gum up decent legislation are people Trump supported in primary's at one point.

I gotta think that Norman is the safer candidate to run in the general election. Darline Graham may well win the general if she gets the GOP nomination (SC is a red state, after all), but it will likely be much closer than if Norman ran in the general.

100% accurate. Not a bad assessment for a Californian.

So, no one is concerned that we are about to elect a senator whose position on foreign policy is “I don’t know much about it?”
My new Congressman up here in WI will be an unemployed 26 year old Florida resident who refused to debate in the primary. His qualifications are being the son-in-law of the Sean Duffy & having Trump's endorsement. With Graham winning tonight maybe it's time to admit the GOP is completely controlled by an 80 year old man who demands unwavering loyalty?

He didn’t control it, the people did. Something the democrats don’t know much about.

The people spoke.

i don't understand how "loyalty to lindsey" means trump has to support his ill-informed, ill-equipped sister's candidacy

i guess it's tough to acknowledge that trump simply wants automatic support and doesn't care about anything else
He wants what Democrats have.

it was a tough night and this is hard to justify/defend...i get it

but this is a poor attempt, even considering those things
Just giving credit where it is due. Democrats stick together like glue. Even when it means saying a blatant lie like "this man is a woman".

No... they don't. The whole reason DSA is a thing is because some dems don't want to do Israel's bidding. Some are sick of not actually trying to help people.
Just an example but no the dems famously don't stick together, they are fractured all the time. Look at Bernie v Hillary. Did Bernie endorse Hillary after? Sure. But just look at Maga, its all dependent on one strong man authoritarian leader. Thats whats running your party. A poop diaper wearing dementia patient.

A dem hasn’t won a major statewide race (governor or senate) in 28 years. And Fritz Hollings (the last Democrat senator from SC) is completely different than today’s Democrat party.
I agree.

If you had to set the "line" where would you put it? I don't know if it's up on Polymarket or not, but i would put Darline around a 70-30 favorite to win. Maybe like 67-33. What say you?

democrats ran took away the nomination from a sitting president - seemingly against his wishes

but sure...those famously loyal democrats

it's hard to address arguments that aren't rooted in reality

like i said, last night has got to be tough to stomach. so the diehards have to lash out somewhere...

Honestly kind of shocked at the amount of texts from GOP family/friends who are furious and said they’re gonna be voting for Andrews. I doubt Andrews wins, but unless you’re in the MAGA cult I don’t see how you think a vote for Darline is a good idea. She’s south Carolina’s Tuberville.

Darline is a good idea when compared to a lib like Annie Andrews. I'll stick with Darline all day.

No idea tbh. Have barely followed the race and didn’t vote. It does seem like everyone I know and what I saw on social was against Darline though. But I don’t think any of those folks will vote for a dem.

I don't care about her platform.

She supports Trans. That's enough for me.

She opposes guns.

She supported masks.

She is far away from my vote and far away from the center vote in SC. I don't think her chances are very good.

She got beat by Mace fairly easily too.

I. Don’t. Get. It. Really from either side. Quick google search says ~ 1% of the population may be in the genre of “trans”. It splits almost in 1/3s between men to women, women to men (bet y’all would happily play them in sports) and non-binary. So that is literally 1/3 - 2/3, max, of ONE percent possibly in women’s sports. A person has a higher likelihood of being born with an extra finger or toe. You have a higher likelihood of guessing the right card and suit, randomly from a full deck. I just don’t understand the time, energy, brain power, and resources this topic eats.

Are you saying Maga has a brain? Trump and his supporters are Maga. They want Graham. Who is an idiot with no experience with anything related to being a senator.
well, to be honest, after republicans voted for Graham in the primary, I can understand some of the views of you guys on the left...IMO, Darlene Graham has no business in the Senate...she knows little if anything about government and how it really functions...she will be led either by her leaders in the Senate or by her staff or by both.

I'm not sure Norman was a better pick, but you South Carolinians set the primary....crazy government.

Not, just to be sure, I have that opinion of all neophytes who have no idea of government, not just graham...

My next-door neighbor when my daughter was born was a boy named "BOB". My daughter and Bob were friends until about age 5. We moved away and about 7 years later we go to see "Bob" and they are now "sally". No thanks.

My daughter's friend at school last year, left and moved to Canada because her sibling was trans.

My son's pre-school teacher, who was a woman, now pretends to be a man with a full-grown beard.

For being such a small part of the population, fatpiggy sure is exposed to a lot of it. I don't like it and it's a litmus test for my vote.

I don't believe it's a small part of the population. I think it's a disgusting social fad that is enabled by weak minded people. The fact that adults can't all agree mutilating a child's body is wrong is beyond me. I discount any further opinion of people who do not denounce that behavior. (ESPESCIALLY Annie Andrews who is a doctor. Extremely bad judgment because it means she supports Trans under the guise of "helping" children. The worst kind of person in my book. You don;t help an anorexic by telling them the look great.)

If you don't know what a woman is, can't agree that brainwashing and mutilating children is wrong and abhorrent, i don't want you near any important decision making.

i'm sure it's not strong enough for you, but here's what she said while running for a previous office against Nancy Mace:

I do not support gender affirming surgery on minors. I never have and those surgeries have never been done in the Lowcountry, but you know when I do see transgender kids, I see them when they show up at the children's hospital after they try to kill themselves because of bullying from adults like Nancy," Dr. Andrews said.

here's more:

“I do not support gender-affirming surgery for anyone under 18- nor does my hospital perform those procedures,” Andrews continued in her statement. “What I support is evidence-based medical care, with parental consent, for teens struggling with gender identity issues.”

Imagine a PEDIATRICIAN that can't look at a child in the eyes and tell them the truth.

"No, you are not a girl. You will never be a girl. No Man in the history of the earth has ever transed to a woman."

Just an awful, awful, person. Hiding behind a "DOCTOR" label.

Just because i don't care doesn't mean i can't share her platform. It's almost like im helping her out.

She supports trans children. She won't tell them it's wrong. She won't tell them it's a lie.

South Carolina parents love trannies so she should be proud of her platform. You are getting defensive about me telling her platform! hahah

the right's newfound obsession with trans issues (which was nowhere to be found 5 years ago) don't outweigh the medical community's comparatively consistent view, which is what dr andrews follows

i get it...it's no suprise that after last night, you NEED to talk about trans stuff.

No. The doctors were wrong. They started the things that are now outlawed.

Following protocol is what was wrong. Shame on Dr Annie and shame on her for hiding behind the label Pediatrician. She is a Wolf in a White Coat.
