I alluded to this in another thread as my suspicion. Kiffin is taking the position these guys filed suits on their own and he is just signing them before someone else does. CBS says he was calling guys likely to get cut and telling them to join a lawsuit, then come to LSU.

I hate all of this...but, honestly, that was pretty creative.

The B1G has a rule that allows the commissioner to sanction schools for conduct "offensive to the integrity of the competition". The SEC does not. It would be awesome to punish Kiffin. Not for signing the players, but for recruiting them to sue the NCAA.

The more absurd this new age of college football with "student" athletes gets, maybe it pushes this garbage to a breaking point and something can be done to bring it back to normalcy.

I dont think he cares. He's daring the powers that be to say something. Its the same thing he did with players faking injuries to slow down a game. He said it was wrong and he didnt like it and OM would then have record number in a game. Everyone could see what he was doing.
He's tempting them to say something and recruiting off the controversy the whole time. Its kind of smart in an @$$hole sort of way.
