Noooooooo!!!! Truly one of the best ever! One of the few 'superstars' whose legacy is that more than anything, they were a good person. Elite songwriter too. RIP. Loved her.

Just terrible news. She came from nothing and spent her life making other's lives immeasurably better.
One of those people who seemed like they'd never die. She was always performing and had the energy and personality of someone half her age.
Back in 2021, my nephew's travel baseball team played in a tournament in Pigeon Forge, TN, which is where Dollywood is. I went with my brother, sister-in-law and niece and was blown away by what a great area that is for a vacation, and that's largely attributable to Dolly Parton putting that amusement park there.

Pretty much it. Some people talk about being Christian, even boast about it....and then you have people that actually live and walk it via actions. Such a gracious and charitable human. A true legend....RIP.
I can't remember ever being this saddened by the passing of a non-relative. I was driving when I heard and had to pull over to wipe my eyes. She was truly special.
What a shame. What talent and what a generous person. She will be missed by her community and millions of fans.

We were talking about this at work earlier today and a coworker didn’t understand the love for Dolly. She even said that Whitney Houston’s version of the song was way better.
Every other person in the group immediately chastised her and walked away.
One of the greatest things Dolly ever did was her free books for kids idea. Both of my children got books every month from her when they were young.
