I think the hopes would be that the SEC would follow suit and do the right thing. We’ll have to sit back and wait and see if that happens.

Maybe. If that rule is put in place I doubt that it would be retro active. Future Classes would be my guess.B1G putting rule in place to deny eligiblity to anyone who has declared for the NFL or been places on a roster.
No Graves
as a level-headed and pragmatic observer of the b1g i am pretty sure this rule has been enacted specifically to keep iowa down, so we should expect it to be enforced upon graves in particularMaybe. If that rule is put in place I doubt that it would be retro active. Future Classes would be my guess.
It sure works for the MAGA dictator, doesn't it.Just find the right judge and they can make it happen
It works for whoever is in power. Don't kid yourself. It sure works for the MAGA dictator, doesn't it.
How? The conference is under no authority from the courts to decide eligibility. That injunction only says they can seek another year of eligibility. It doesn't say any specific school has to grant that year. Regardless of all this judicial nonsense going on, the courts have zero authority to say this school must accept this player. Same thing goes for the conferences. Then the player sues them for monetary damages. Go to a jury trial.
Your going to see more and more going forward the B1G and the SEC doing things hand in hand. They have too much financially going forward being tied together. Lots of bigger topics involved. Number of teams in the playoffs, playing each other during the season. Much bigger decisions then worrying over a single player.LOLZ Watch the SEC say hey Big Ten players we will let you play here.
Sure. They're going to start disrupting their roster 10 days before they start playing games. Who's out there that would be worth it at this point?LSU combing through their roster for guys to cut as we speak
Its not about them doing the right thing. The big TWO conferences are becoming more and more engaged together financially
Its not retro active though. None of these players have been cut from teams yet.Maybe. If that rule is put in place I doubt that it would be retro active. Future Classes would be my guess.

Darn. that was really funny. Given the number of people on here who post that same kind of stuff, it shouldn't be hard to see why someone would not take that as humor. But hey, glad you got to post your gif for the day.
SEC Presidents issued a STRONGLY (cough) worded message to potential former NFL players stating that they shouldn't be allowed to play, but that they really, really, really want congress to act very soon on the pending legislation. It was the most feckless announcement I have ever seen.LOLZ Watch the SEC Big Ten players we will let you play here.
We'll see. but I don't think so. "Allowed to play", but for who? These injunctions and court decisions only allow a player to gain an extra year. I don't believe they can force a conference or school to let any specific player return to a specific school. These conference rules are toothless, any player who gets a TRO will be allowed to play.
Tech backed off the Sorsby situation because the B12 said no. They had the Texas attorney general on their side and didn’t even bother taking them to court on it. These are conference bylaws not the NCAA (monopoly) implanting a rule. These conference rules are toothless, any player who gets a TRO will be allowed to play.

The players that are trying to come back aren't exactly world beaters though. Could they help in specific situations? Sure. But they also didn't crack an NFL roster so in the grand scheme of things they are just another guy.Other schools will have players play from
Class of 2022. Just watch
Not making a 53 man nfl roster wouldn’t help a college team ? I think Graves vs Gaffney is a world beater in comparison. The players that are trying to come back aren't exactly world beaters though. Hard to know before the season happens. On potential? Sure. But potential doesn't directly translate to on field performance. Let's let all these respective old farts transition to their next phase of life. Not making a 53 man nfl roster wouldn’t help a college team ?
