To anyone who supports AOC. Would you want her as your representative? nm

It's very entertaining to read through a bunch of posts from Trump Cultists volunteering their comments on a Democratic (both big and small d) politician. In fact, it's guffaw inducing.
Kamala for President. Still humorous after almost 1 1/2 years.

1. A little too much ”Mr Ed” above the neck for my taste.
2. I only want a rep who understands that their PRIMARY job is to represent their district. AOC was initially elected on that very principle, because Joe Crowley, who is a very good guy, forgot it. And he’s still forgotten it as nova is now his home as he’s settled into his lobbyist career. To my ears and eyes, AOC has very quickly abandoned it as well. Constituent services must be more than the price you pay. It must be your raison d’etre.

These days understanding the representation job description is my sole voting touchstone. And it’s why I detest all of the redistricting nonsense - it is explicitly designed to provide a free pass to ignore 40% or more of your citizen-constituents

only in America would we consider electing someone who's highest position in life is bartender, has zero experience managing anything, understands nothing about military or foreign policy, has little apparent knowledge of basic economics etc.
She did more than waitress

"Around this time, Ocasio-Cortez sought out an internship concentrating on foreign affairs and immigration issues in the late Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy’s office, As the only Spanish speaker in the office, she often worked with constituents calling to locate family members recently detained and potentially deported by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.). After graduating college, OCASIO-CORTEZ returned to the Bronx and worked in various jobs, including: Educational Director for the National Hispanic Institute; founder of Brook Avenue Press, a now defunct publishing press created to share positive stories about the Bronx; a community organizer for Bernie Sander’s 2016 campaign for U.S. President; and a waitress and bartender."

Trump has six bankruptcies, has multiple failed marriages, cheated on every wife he's ever had, has 34 felonies, is a court ordered sexual assaulter, can only read at a 4th grade level, and he raped kids.

Neddy "The Bins" Nedster: "Yeah but she was once a bartender."

You've moved up quite a bit in my mind for what that is worth. I appreciate your points.

Also, for what it is worth, I think AOC is a nothing. She was CREATED. She has done nothing for this country, yet we are supposed to support her. Yeah, I don't think so.

Watch her mock people in her latest video, and then listen to her use language to talk down to people. I do like her more than Pelosi and "Chuck-you" Shumer though.

This is what happens when you get your information from social media and podocasts.

aoc as prez will result in a chaotic society where productive people and innovation will get sidelined
newsom as prez will result in china squeezing america's balls
vance as prez will result in religion based oppression
where's the overall likeable and float everyone's boats type candidate?

Meh... she seems OK on some things and way out there on others. I like that she's all about not letting congress trade stocks.

But watching the MAGAs on here ***** about her and hardly a word on Mace, MTG, Boebert, and Kristi Noem. I mean, I'm talking BATSHIT crazy on all of them. I will admit that with the exception of MTG, they are all way hotter than AOC.

Recently enjoyed her thoughts on US troops if a war broke out with Mainland China and Taiwan

She gave a very well thought out articulate response to a very complicated question by totally confusing the entire world by disguising her answer as an ignorant liberal.

Genius plan that I love.
Color me shocked that you don't like AOC or her politics. Your frequent ALL CAPS paeans to Mango Mussolini made your AOC take all too predictable.

Yes. Any day. She's incredibly intelligent and open/transparent. She's also excellent at constituent services. Great overall rep.

Y'all can disagree with her policies but she's very thoughtful and open. There just aren't any politicians out there better at communicating with their constituents.
Yep.
My US Rep is OK, but I'd take AOC.
I'd also take her over 1 of my Senators.
She may not end up being my choice for President, but she's in my top tier.

I do think the caricature of AOC that's been painted by right wing media is nonsense.
The Right recognized the threat early and has been smearing her ever since. That's a big reason why she probably won't get the 2028 D nomination.

Rs should watch out, though: she might be Speaker in the future. She's learned a lot from Pelosi, and is much more progressive. It'll be great!

yeah he is well spoken, bland, and from what i can tell not a nutjob. certainly better than aoc, news, and vance but i hope good candidates from both sides emerge
Rubio can't even say who won the 2020 election. He couldn't even admit the shoes Trump bought him were 4 sizes too large. He has too much MAGA stank to be considered likeable imo.

from what i have seen of him i felt like he's a more old school economics and military americai-first type not the hatelful populist maga like many of his colleagues. not inking him in by any means, just compared to the 3 names previously mentioned
