Looking at the schedule, I’m being optimistic but I would go 14-4, with losses at Texas, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Florida. With no more than 2 out of conference losses. I would predict regular season at 26-6. On a side question, didn’t they increase the regular season games from 31 to 32?

26-6 sounds about right to me

The Kansas game being early favors UK, with them being led by a freshman and UK having a very veteran team, and UL and UNCheat are revenge games; I expect Kentucky to win all those games so I don't see more than one preseason losses and I could see us undefeated to start conference play. But...4 losses in conference play is less than I'd predict. We play 3 of our top five foes home and away and Arky and Texas will be very tough next year. Since I think the SEC will be back to what it was the year before last I think 13-5 would be a great record so I'm going with that and an undefeated out of conference record for a final record going into the SEC tournament of 27-5.

I thought the same on out of conference games, I was just trying to be conservative.

No idea what you mean but Im a realist. Pope avgs 11 loses a year. It is what it is. Im not a troll or a hater.
Your stupid is what you are. Stupid and disingenuous. You don’t think with the number 1 transfer portal pope won’t have better record than years before your just plain mentally challenged

That would be Pope Derangement Syndrome, your dislike of Pope affects your judgement. Most realistic fans understand the issues with the first two years. Injuries were a key part of everything that happened. Look at the point guard situation last year. It looked as if we would have Lowe, Lewis and Perry for point guards then Perry didn’t want to set on the bench, then Lewis wanted more playing time. When those 2 decided to leave it was too late to get anymore backups. What was Pope supposed to do at that point.

Year one with the number 4 transfer portal class he lost 12 games. Year 2 he had the number 5 transfer portal class, multiple returnees in Oweh, Chandler, Noah & Garrison as well as two top 40 high school recruits and lost 14 games.

Before we want to take a victory lap about Pope’s transfer class ranking (funny enough under Cal it was we don’t hang banners for recruiting titles. Nobody cares about recruiting) let’s see him do something as a coach first.

Cmon now you’re just changing the history. During cal recruiting was the only thing people celebrated. Hell if we had number one recruiting class and lost every game the cal fans would’ve been happy

Oh ok. I accept that lmao. If you have to write a short story as to why Pope is a good coach, I think that settles it imo. I only have to post one sentence :

63.5% (233–134 record)

Don’t forget NBA draft night😂😂😂 Cal had two lottery picks coming off his bench that last year while he had Wagner starting every game. I liked Cal but I knew it was time for a change and Pope was pretty good in year 1 before all the damn injuries piled up.

So he averages 11 losses a year and you're saying he's gonna have 14 losses with the best roster he has. That is pretty stupid.
Well I am stupid, i aint gonna deny that buddy. I think with the schedule we have Pope can find a way to lose 14. He found a way to lose by 30 in Nashville last year lol

I think we lose only four SEC games so 14-4 . All losses will be on the road. This team is loaded with backups at every position in case of injury. Unlike all previous Pope teams we have multiple proven scorers who have been the leading scorers on their respective teams while averaging at least 16 points per game. Our starting guards are both 6'6" and we have a front line averaging 6'10" . Shot blocking might be our only weakness .

What I’m saying is by the end of Cal people were tired of hearing about recruiting and wanted results on the court. Some of the same people that were very adamant that they didn’t care about recruiting class rankings are now taking a victory lap about Pope’s having the number 1 transfer portal class. This is his third top 5 portal class at UK. He lost 12 and 14 with the first two. I’m wanting to see results on the floor before I hang a banner because of a portal ranking. That’s my only point. It is reasonable for people to want to see the results before they jump straight to the hype

Stop trolling on other teams and go back to your on message board
I have never posted, or even visited, another team's board.
22-10 and 11-7 are my predictions, right now, without having seen this new group play. Hopefully, I am wrong and our team will outperform my predictions. I do not think we'll have trouble scoring, but I'm not certain our defense and rebounding will be good enough to beat the top-tier teams. I hope to be wrong about that, of course.

So you think there are 7 better teams in the sec?
I know what your trying to do and say set low expectations so you don’t hurt yourself but your being genuinely obtuse and stupid to say 22-10 is the expectation

Top 4 teams will be UF, UweT, UT and UK. Arkansas will be middle of the pack at best. Tons of talent, soft interior and a team full of freshmen.
