Theyre good. That DT is going to be a handful for anyone. They have size and speed. Their issue last season was inconsistency, hopefully they play like that every week. Now that the dust has settled a bit, is HF as good as that score would suggest or did the Brook just have an abysmal night?

You can make a case for IC. But not montini. You cant jump over any of those teams by beating a bad 1a school.IC and Montini deserve to be on this list.
I would grant thar IC is more deserving, but I think Montini deserves to be on it, as well. Few people would dispute that they were top ten last year, and although scheduling a better opponent would have been ideal, they took care of business and shut-out the team that lined-up against them. You can make a case for IC. Which 2 should they replace?I would grant thar IC is more deserving, but I think Montini deserves to be on it, as well. The ones that stand out are Homewood-Flossmoor and Marist. I think it's too early to say HF is this good, and I'm not impressed by Marist only beating a CPL team by two scores.Which 2 should they replace?
Might have a case with Marist, but Montini's chances just took a major hit this weekend with Naz getting handled by IC. They can now also impress possibly by beating Marist. But Naz was the only opponent on their schedule that could justify a high ranking. To me SF was solid but the close wins over CG and the CPL two good CPL teams they played showed me about where they were last season. Maybe Naz bounces back and beats MC then the discussion changes. The ones that stand out are Homewood-Flossmoor and Marist. Sandburg could also help by beating LWE and/or HF and losing to Montini.Might have a case with Marist, but Montini's chances just took a major hit this weekend with Naz getting handled by IC. Yeah I saw that game was close early. But its more so that HF leaped.Oswego drops![]()
I understand why it was done, I guess that why I was most disappointed in Brook. Oswego seems to always need legitimacy and I'm hoping that's what Bolingbrook will bring to the conference.Yeah I saw that game was close early. But its more so that HF leaped.
I hear you and honestly Im pretty sure we'll be fine, but its disappointing to come out like that with what they had back and added.I understand why it was done, I guess that why I was most disappointed in Brook. That being said, NV has some talent, but low numbers. They also had some talent missing week 1. Oswego's depth was way too much to overcome. I also felt like Oswego could have just run the ball and won easily, but when the QB's dad is the OC, you're going to get some passes up in the air. Sophomore QB is also the OC's son, there doesn't seem to be a lack of RB talent or size in the lower levels at Oswego right now.

Actually, there is not much difference between our rankings. I guess I'm not quite sure yet what to make of the Homewood-Flossmoor win. I did not have them in my preseason top 20 and don't want to jump them too far up based on one game. I have Oswego and Marist lurking just outside my top 10.
