Right but if the depth is crap, it don’t mean much. I’m not saying that our depth is crap either, I just don’t know at this point. We got a strong starting 5 imo. That’s always a good start.

Well, let's compare Florida's lineup :

Boogie Fland (11.7 points per game)
Urban Klavzar (9.7 PPG)
Thomas Haugh (17.1 PPG))
Alex Condon (14.9 PPG)
Rueben Chinyelu (11.2 PPG)
Personally, I would take what we have at every position, over and above what Florida has got.
Point blank period.
Let ESPN keep their top 4 or 5 set. (UF, dUKe, Michigan, Illinois, UConn)
Tennessee is #6 on their list. We have a better and higher ranked incoming class than the Vols. Therefore, logically, you'd think ESPN would slot UK at #6.
Watch them somehow rearrange things and UK gets a #9 or #10 nod.
That'll be just fine. Gives us a little chip on our shoulder to begin things.
The preseason rank matters not. This is a legit Final Four aspiration team. Title contending roster no doubt.

Missing Freeman was a gift. Mitchell is a lot better and Freeman is hurt
Nope. That’s who starts. Mitchell and Momcilovic’s presences alone are going to score each other tons of points.
Tell ya what, imo having FO, Ous, Williams, McBride and Noah as bench players seems like a very, very good bench.
We have depth, size and experience on the bench giving our starting 5 breaks to stay fresh.
Once they gel and have a few games under their belts, this team can go along way.

Rebounding would be a challenge and defense would be dicey generally but zoom action would be nightmarish if Kam or McBride could pull their weight. lol. That “myth” started with his past nba draft prospects. Where some had him as a first round 3 & D guy. One even had him as a possible lottery pick. Not my opinion. That’s what was out there.
You’ve only seen him play on what was possibly the most dysfunctional team I’ve ever seen. I’m not predicting he’ll meet those projections but letting you know where the so called “myth” developed.
Crazy to think the banner boys imparted a curse onto freeman and we ended up with better players
