Hats: Curved or Flat Bill?

Do you curve the bill of your hat?

I always folded the hat in on itself so that the front of the bill would touch the back of the hat. Leaving it like that overnight always seemed to do the trick.
It’s like when you break in a new glove. Baseball in it, neatsfoot oil then tie it and leave over night

Best fishing and yard cuttin shoes on earth
Nice list in your previous post.

I’ve fished in crocs for 20 years. Haven’t found a better boat or around the house shoe.

1.Comfortable
2.Don’t stink

ETA: Any man that wears short dress pants or jogging pants that expose or are tight around their ankles is Gay AF. Looking at you Madisonites.

This does bring up an issue I've been having lately. I've bought a couple of hats that have a dangerously-close-to-flat bill. (ordered them online so I didn't realize what I was getting into.)

What's the best way to set the curve in? They seem to be pretty resistent to my permanent curving attempts so far.
You can’t adjust the curve like caps 20 years ago. I don’t know what material is in the bill but I haven’t had any luck fixing them. I’ve got a cardinals cap that’s a little too curved - cannot get it flatter no matter what. Same with a couple of near flat caps. I can’t get more curve to stay permanently

Used to actually wear some decent hats when I was 19-20. For some reason my head never stopped growing. Now when I wear a baseball hat my family laughs at me as it looks like a

lol. Old guys. An old guy gave me hell one day for wearing shorts “why are you wearing short pants”. Because it’s 98 degrees outside old man

and I’m pretty damn old

Filson Tin Cloth hats, bought mine in 1990 mainly for duck hunting. Oil it once a year in the Fall for hunting season w/ Filson Oil Finish Wax about $20/can lasts probably 5-6 seasons. 36 years later it is still like new with the exception of some sweat stains or maybe some blood but as far as the quality i.e. stitching, leather inside headband, air holes, etc it is just like the day I bought it. They take some breaking in before they get comfortable so wear it around the house or in the yard to break it in before the season gets here. New they're about $90 now

I have one similar that I overpaid for at the Yosemite NP gift shop. It's one of my favorites.

Pretty funny how many here are triggered by flat bill caps. I’m a slight curve guy, but I can think of several things men wear much worse than the hat bill:

-5 inch inseam shorts (ghey)
-the big Apple Watch
- oversized watches in general
-Nike dunks in general but especially in formal situations
-frat flip hair as an adult
-silicone wedding bands outside of work (grow up)
- Oversized water cups like a woman
-a hard part in their haircut
-flip flops not around a pool/beach
-long back pocket wallets
-bow ties
-seersucker suits
Way more (ghey) to care if another man is doing these things, than actually doing these things.

Also, a hard part in a haircut??? Just say you miss having hair

Gotta get better shoes my friend and always be prepared for combat ha. I'm a Nike guy but I gotta admit at 42 i keep a pair of Brooks. They are awesome.
I usually wear Hoka flip flops. They really are awesome!
I have a hard time wearing any footwear other than the Hoka Anacapa2 hikers I bought a year ago. Super comfortable and the grip is incredible on most any terrain. I may check out their flops. I didn't know they made them.

Trust me, I do not care if you look like a mega church music director with a hard part, dunks with a suit, & an oversized Apple Watch. Do your best Marty Smith impression. Be my guest

I’d never heard of them either but I was in a high end shop looking for some new Hoka/ On Clouds/ Brooks shoes and they had all their flip flops for $25. I bought three pair of the Hokas. FYI if you order them online, they run a little big. If you’re a half size go down rather than up.
