Perentin got to James legs and scored the takedown to win at the Clarion open in November. My opinion Jayden has jumped a few levels since then and is very good in freestyle positions

Does Perentin worry anyone? He gave James his last folkstyle loss and they were teammates at Delbarton. I have a hard time seeing him stay with Jayden. The growth curve of James this last year has been something special

Hey @zzs006 , you said you were worried that you usually pick US wrestlers too high in your predictions. You might not have picked them high enough!
I know! It’s wild. I had Cortez bronze and he’s in the finals. I had Mastny dnp and he’s wrestling for bronze. I had Sinclair with silver and he won gold. Pretty incredible tournament for our boys so far

I thought the same yesterday. Maybe a big brother situation last year though.

James is a completely different person than that one. Looked like that loss made him jump levels.

James is a superior freestyler but room familiarity could be an issue. Peretin's winning TD at Clarion would have been scored 6-2 or at least 4-2 James in free.

Totally new replay guy on the controls today. I don't think he's been on them the entire week before today unless it was a one off on a match I wasn't watching at the time.

Brown vs Isakov up now on mat A

Isakov wins 6-1. Brown was so close to 2 tds and somehow Isakov turned both into his points. Incredible defense

Just a general observation. I love seeing the great sportsmanship in this tournament (with very few exceptions). Guys are giving handshakes often after 1st periods, during restarts and after stoppages. It's great to see the respect for one another in a combat sport like this one.

Start of Saturday pbp

I like being on the same thread so I can flip to the updated comments easily and multiple people have told me they like having pbp together so it's easier to catch up.

Fan mentioned during GR that the door on Mat C is super distracting and now I can't unsee it. Hope others can't unsee it either now.

I've been noticing it the whole time. It leads outside. I'm assuming you have to go outside to go in another part of the building. People are going in and out of it constantly.
