A friend of mine has a son in law who is a professional musician in Nashville, was in Newsong for several years, and one day the son in law was taking the trash out or checking the mail and sees his new neighbor doing the same across the street, and went over to introduce himself.

It was Robert Plant, freshly in town to work on that Alison Krauss collaboration.

He and Jimmy Page and maybe Bonham met Elvis after a show in LA in 1974.
They had requested to meet him while they were there in LA doing a show of their own I think.

Had a friend who got to see them in Nashville's old Municipal Auditorium. He came back and told me how awesome they were. At that time they were just starting to catch fire. He told me......"Man, they played 3 hours straight without stopping!!" IMO, Zepplin was way ahead of their time. No one was even close.

The best rock and roll band in the history of forevermore. I had tix to see them in Nola in 77 when they cxl because Plants son was fatally ill. They never played the states again and I never got to see my favorite band
