Fowler vs Yasin Turkiye 76kg Bronze match Kalal beat Fowler 6-0 and Yasin 14-0

Fowler is stockier and Yasin has incredibly long arms. Ear to Ear handfighting inside. Not a lot of action in the first minute. Yasin gets first warning. They stand of a bit and Yasin is on the clock. Fowler with a half singleYasin with a the first real attempt of the match with a single but Fowler eventually spins behind for the TD 3-0 Fowler. Yasin on a deep double Fowler sprawls. Yasin gets a single raised and trips for the TD. 3-2 at the break.

2nd.

Fowler double that Yasin exposes. Yasin up 4-3. Yasin warned for fingers Fowler stuffed on a double and Yasin with the counter TD 6-3. Fowler double that's stuffed again to stale mate. Fowler with a push out. 6-5 as Yasin gets a fleeing. Yasin tying up wrists. Fowler works underhooks but match ends 6-5 for Yasin.

Yasin had some of the longest arms I've ever seen. She was touching the mat when her waist wasn't at 90 degrees. Fowler should have probably done more pushing to take advantage of her lower body strength advantage.

Graber wrestled well except for one very poor shot that her opponent easily countered. Sometimes the aggressiveness of U.S. wrestlers can bite them. Graber was holding center well and could have given up two step outs and still won. Overall, though, the aggressiveness of U.S. wrestlers is definitely a plus.

I just woke up from a nap.

I have solution to the spoiler/no spoiler issue. I'll make a pbp post for every matchup before the round even begins and just edit them in order. People can say anything they want since it will show after an uninterupted string of pbp for those who want that.
But then the comments other poster leave will be out of context and make no sense…!!! 😉

Yeah man, sounds like an outstanding solution to me.

Late into the match Okazawa was lying on his back, exhausted. As he lay there I thought, "If he was from [insert most any country] he would feign an injury, but the Japanese wrestlers have too much honor to do that." Sure enough, he got himself back to center. Most of the time in those situations you see the magical "ice spray" work its wonders : )

It really is amazing how much talent is within that group of four. Hopefully we see a few switching weights in the future so that all that talent isn't concentrated in one weight.
The bad thing is that the best weight for all of them in free is a non-Olympic weight. All are going to have to bulk to 65kg for the '28 cycle since I can't see any of them making 57.

I wish someone more knowledgeable than I could explain how no one was put on the clock during that match.

Sounds great in theory but if you do that, all of the PBP posts will be at the top of that day, and people won't scroll up to find them.

Suggest posting the match header (wt + wrestlers) just before a match starts, save, then edit during/after.

Or we could have a separate thread just for PBP. We've done that for duals, B10s, and NCAAs.
