However, that whole deal has just been forgotten about, because the players going to JUCO nowadays are generally not D1 athletes. So while they can still play 5 years, they top out in D2 or something, and there's no NIL, so who really cares. JUCO sports has really been relegated in the past 5 years, it's essentially where travel ballers go to finish out their dreams and be able to say they played college ball.
