Renasant is throwing some serious money at sports related marketing. They are the main jersey sponsor for the Nashville MLS team as well. Not bad for the People's Bank of Tupelo.

They'll sell out soon, like all good MS companies

They’re successful, but I’m not a fan of Renasant.

By contrast, Huntington is all about procedure and slow, but they will work with you…

In 1984 there were 14,000 community banks, today there are 4100. It’s not a Mississippi thing.

True. Renasant’s gotten big enough to take over now. You know there’s a banking outfit that would love to grab them up…

Exactly, and industry analysts project much more consolidation in the next 2 years in the banking financial services industry
I see it happening. Maybe it’ll make Renasant’s customer service better…

Renasant agreed to have their name put on that dump?

Actually a very smart move.

If they put their name on State or Ole Miss, fans would be talking boycotts.

Instant reaction now: Eh, it’s just Mississippi Southern.

Do we still call it the Rock or is a bank themed nickname now necessary?

The coffers will most certainly be empty.

The stadium earned the nickname "The Rock" because USM football players hauled concrete blocks by hand to help build the permanent concrete stands in 1938. [1, 2]

When Cadence was Cadence and not Bancorp South disguised as Cadence, I had a good banker. He retired during the transition to Bancorp South/Cadence. Went for a few years without and the guy from the local Renesant came calling and he’s as good or better than the former Cadence guy. I guess that I’ve been lucky to have always had a good banker that made my life easier.

Should've gone with Sun Spa field, because there was always a happy ending at Sun Spa

Dragon Field House seems like another obvious money grab as well

There is one in every crowd, they say. Maroon Eagle has not had a good experience with Renasant, but I have been with People’s Bank since the 1970’s. Great bank. Recently voted the best banking customer service in the South. Oh, well.

Hope Renasant can remain independent and a Tupelo-based bank for a long time. I hate that Bank of Tupelo/Bank of Mississippi/Bancorpsouth/Cadence has been bought by a bank based out of Ohio. Doesn’t seem right

Renasant is not willing to work with younger generations with power of attorneys for their elders who are not as connected with the world as they used to be a few years previously.

17 Renasant

At least they don't have much money in that account otherwise I’d really be upset.

Goodbye to the last vestige of honor for the avowed racist segregationist who actively worked to keep Babe McCarthy's teams out of the NCAA tournament.
Had no idea about MM Roberts before this post. Googled him and what a piece of ****.
