Well, spending too much time on academics shouldn't...

be a problem for Sellers this year. He has NO classes and an internship at a driving range this semester.

It is going to be hard to make fun of the academics at any other school this season.

Seriously? Did he graduate already?

I don't actually have a problem with it. Mainly b/c I know one of his coaches from middle school. This guy is the most orange Clemson fan you'll ever meet. However, he thinks extremely highly of Lanorris and said he was always a studious and diligent student, so he takes his current situation as being consistent with his previous academic track record.

But, yes, if this was a player from UGA, I would think it was absurd.

I mean to all your points here, he's a sport and entertainment management major and he's been around Columbia for at least 10 semesters. One of the last requirement to graduate is an internship in which you cannot have another class. It just happens to fall now as his very last semester. Mine looked very similar. The dude is simply finishing his degree, so let's not crap on parade.

I had to take a Capstone class to graduate.

Can you imagine the outrage if a Clemson player was in the same position?

I'm impressed that he is graduating. I've always heard he was a good student.

Only thing I was surprised about is that it's a driving range. I'd think a driving range would be quite limited in the experience it would give an intern. A golf club- especially one with a restaurant, pub, large landscaping shop, and pro shop would be an excellent internship opportunity.

having no classes while doing an internship in college is quite common.
