I believe this ruling currently applies to 16 players.
They still played professional football and were paid to do it. I can sort of see the truly undrafted players who never played a down of any kind for an NFL team having another year of eligibility. Guys that get paid to play NFL football should not be allowed to return to college football.
I wonder how the "academics" are going to work? Can they reenroll at a school as a freshman? What will the acceptance requirements be?
