Sounds to me they are punishing minors for what dumb *** adult coaches made them do.

Despite what that article says, I'm pretty sure there's no postseason ban. Several other schools also on probation for the same thing, including Biloxi, Gulfport, Florence, Ridgeland, Laurel, & Picayune.

I wonder if it being the second year in a row is the cause of that?

Wonder who snitched?

Funny story, and I'll withhold school names, but in the past 5 years there was a couple of local schools a couple counties over that had a spat where one snitched on the other one for something like this. A coach got caught starting practice a day before practice could officially start by a rival school nearby who turned them in. The coach that got caught then turned the other school in for having 75 students enrolled at the school that lived out of district lines. Superintendent brought them both in for a meeting and had a very spirited conversation with them about it.

There's probation, and then, there's "double secret probation". The postseason ban is for double secret offences.

I don’t have a dog in the fight but it’s chicken **** that there’s a rule for when you can practice with pads on. You’ve got to get them going the moment you get on the practice field. Break em in & get used to them! Stop sitting on your *** and holding teams back.

Did the probation end the day before the coach decide to start full-pads?

Back in the days that I played VERY minor college football we had 65 days of spring practice. Yes, rules were to have 20. The coach said we had a lot of practice day rainouts. My college career didn't last very long after that. This is a 100 % true story.

Brandon posted on FB that they are eligible for the playoffs, so you would be correct sir.
