The FBI estimates that there are between 25 and 50 active serial killers operating in the United States at any given time. Because many of these offenders operate without detection or cross state lines, tracking an exact real-time number remains difficult for law enforcement.

it makes sense if you realize how many people just disappear.

Truck Drivers is a great profession for a serial killer . Always moving to different places easy to get away and start over somewhere else.
