Loud and obnoxious are their desired qualities.I don't pay much attention to him but he's a prime example of a bigger issue that ESPN has. When they find a shiny new toy they oversaturate the hell out the airwaves with it. Stephen A, Kelce, Pat, etc. Sometimes less is more.
Dude has spent years crying about politics in sports and just launched a sports and politics site haI keep waiting for Clay Travis to start a sports network. When that does happen, bye bye espn.
Idgaf about his opinion …..just entertain meNot a Pat fan, seems like the white frat version of Stephen A. I would probably like them more if they just shared their opinions without the theatrics, but they’d make a lot less money that way.
I had no idea he was a WWE commentator. I only watch ESPN when college football is in season. As an ESPN talking head he's not my cup of tea but I'm pretty sure he's interesting to the younger demographic. I don't hate his role on college GameDay.
As a WWE commentator, he's absolutely insufferable.
Why? That channel would be even more politics than espn currently is.I keep waiting for Clay Travis to start a sports network. When that does happen, bye bye espn.
but it would be the “correct” politicsWhy? That channel would be even more politics than espn currently is.
People don’t want politics in sports unless it’s the politics they agree with, then they love it.Dude has spent years crying about politics in sports and just launched a sports and politics site ha
Off and on....Currently off.I had no idea he was a WWE commentator. I only watch ESPN when college football is in season.
Just go back to espn of the 80s that was 100% about just sports, professional, and the humor was very subtle and understated with some class.People don’t want politics in sports unless it’s the politics they agree with, then they love it.
People go to the circus and the zoo to see animals and stranger things, Not the Masters..And I would guess he was dressed like an idiot too which they don't put up with.
They got pizzed off at Brooks Koepka's wife for turning one of their blankets into pants this year, told her it was inappropriate.
Looks pretty appropriate to me...............

I’m definitely on team “little too much McAfee happening”, but his on-air reaction on Gameday to the Jalen Milroe LANK story arc was and still is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen on ESPN.
Where have you been? Clay has always had a website. Although he sold it, that’s what the his website was and still is. I do miss the anonymous mailbag he had, it was quite funny.Dude has spent years crying about politics in sports and just launched a sports and politics site ha
I don’t always agree with Stephen A but I still watch.People don’t want politics in sports unless it’s the politics they agree with, then they love it.
He is starting a new one so he can grift under a different logo.Where have you been? Clay has always had a website. Although he sold it, that’s what the his website was and still is. I do miss the anonymous mailbag he had, it was quite funny.
Oh god. I’ll have to use the mute button more this season.Him being added to Monday Night Football lead me to this post
Clay is a grifter. He was once a democrat and moved to Trump for the cash. Outkick early on hated on anyone that brought up politics into sports like LeBron. He is no longer apart of outkick and his launching a site focused on sports and State. I did like him early on but moved on when I saw his grift. Mailbag was funny though back in the day and his starting 11 was good.Where have you been? Clay has always had a website. Although he sold it, that’s what the his website was and still is. I do miss the anonymous mailbag he had, it was quite funny.
