There are a grip of Sarahcuse laxers that just can't move on from college and are suing to be eligible again. Wouldn't be surprised if it happens.

I may be missing something here, but by allowing players that have already played 4 years under the rules in place during their career, collected their schollie/NIL/whatever, and moved on to pros or got jobs…these Judges are completely F’in the juniors and seniors in high school which I predict will be the next lawsuit. Those high school players that have been committed and played by the rules, have yet to step foot inside the locker room, collect their NIL, and may be with nowhere to go, are now getting pushed aside or dropped thanks to these losers suing to come back. How does a Judge choose former college players and sacrifice those in the next generation that have been preparing to realize their life long dream? None of it makes sense as the real harm/damage falls on the high school players.

Why did the NCAA make this rule for only the 2022 HS Grads? Everyone else got at least 5 years of eligibility but these guys only got 4. Seems like they wanted a showdown & it blew up in their face.

Other than COVID and special exceptions/waivers hasn’t everyone for decades gotten 4 years? What makes the 2022s special? They were done playing and got their 4 under the then existing rules. Their academic/athletic careers were over not to mention there is a new class of high school kids coming in that will not have a spot because of roster limits. If anything, you would think the short term remedy is to increase roster caps to keep the high school kids from having nowhere to go.

He did not get the job for a part of the Lollipop Guild in the remake of the Wizard of Oz, so he needs job.

Life can be unfair. Good lesson for them to learn at an early age. Now that you can pay players real money, having older experienced guys far out trumps a high school kid.

This has nothing to do with fairness. Or if you want to go down that silly road how about life’s unfair for the 2022s who already got their shot in college (and clearly missed)…and having older experienced guys in terms of grown men currently on NFL rosters makes zero F’in sense in “college” sports. Just let the 2021s, 2020s, and every year come back = what makes the 2022s special? I’m sure there are 2019 players that never made the pros that are still in good shape and looking for a year of football and a NIL check.

I'm just telling you what a coach wants. This new phase will break some eggs though, and those eggs are the high school seniors/juniors.

Thought it was always 5 years/including a Redshirt for 4 years of Eligibility?
Like a Redshirt Freshman is in his Second year & can play 4 more years...hasn't it always been that way except for the 2022 Class?
