This is unreal

Soft coach, soft team

Players mirror their coach. Get their paycheck, keep it positive, move on with their lives. I think this attitude is probably ubiquitous across the sport because of the transfer portal and NIL. I don't think there will ultimately be room for two football leagues where there is no loyalty or love of team, and the NFL isn't losing out.

First off, I was actually impressed by that podcast. I think that trio has potential.

My main takeaway is just how fragile the potential of this team is. Two staring caliber RTs but both coming off season ending injuries. Colandrea bringing a new dynamic with the RPOs and gunslinger mentality but the double edge of that sword can easily rear its head. The RB room is a mess don’t let anyone tell you different. What’s that saying if you have two quarterbacks you don’t have one? Well, if you have six scholarship RBs what in the hell does that mean?

Tons of quantity on this team but not a lot of quality.

Love him or hate him I can't imagine that type of behavior flying on a Bill Belichick team. Hell my old high school coach would have sent you to the gulag at light speed for pulling a stunt like that. Hope there's more to it because at face value that is a really bad look.

I can't imagine that type of behavior on ANY team with a quality coaching staff, much less Belichick

The refusal of a player going into to a game if healthy is a BIG problem. That player should have been shown the door the next day.
I had heard rumors late in the season that the O linemen were rebelling against Donnie. Not sure if it was an O lineman that refused to go in but that would be my suspicion. You can get your *** chewed for only so long for something that you can’t control before you tell somebody to F off.

Belichick would have his team better prepared than we were last year. There’s more to the story I’m sure. Sip’s an idiot.

Nothing to worry about here. It's nothing a good halftime speech can't take care of.

I hope someone secretly films a hype speech again and releases it so we can put this story behind us. It'd be cool if the halftime speech was filmed from 3 different angles with perfect audio and edited together for release on the black market again.

You simply cannot let the inmates run the place. I don't care who the player is. He should be gone. No exceptions. A HC and position coach should demand excellence and if attitude or effort are an issue then kick some arse and get rid of the problem. How can you have any kind of standard with that going on? This, if true, speaks to a larger cultural issue. But at the same time, there has to be communication both ways from the players through the position coaches. Players get down if they know a system will not work. The 3-3-5 sucked ***. Period. And why and how it took Ruhle 3 years to figure that out....well....you wonder.

Rhule's former ATF agent assistant is how you got Colandrea

I love the fact somebody had to tell Rhule to have the guy who could get to Lincoln faster come first..."um, um, um sir...um, if we are in a time crunch maybe the kid who can get here first should have the first visit?". Oh and the kid who chose us left to go to Kentucky because their coaches can actually coach...lol. I would watch a hard knocks of the Huskers over any game for sure.

What if Rhule is an inmate? Doesn't seem like you have been around a lot of coaches they are as slimy and depraved as any player, if not more.

Yeah I always thought Lawrence Phillips and Christian Peter were exactly like Dr. Tom. I think you may be onto something with this mirroring thing.

They mirrored him where it mattered. Like OP (correctly) insinuates.

Nobody wanted to prove perfection was possible to achieve & impose their will on opponents more than TO

The church mouse thing is beyond overstated

Regardless of off-the-field issues, LP and CP were incredibly self-motivated. Worked out constantly, were completely devoted to the team, and were leaders on the field who hated the thought of losing to anyone. Ahman Green told in an interview how LP would find him to discuss game preparation because it mattered so much to him that AG was ready.

You can't bake the kid for not wanting to continue to get his tail kicked. It was a bloodbath out there.

Not so fast my friend...

According to this board, Tony White was a genius with his 3-3-5 defense.
