Most of those schools are a hair bigger and offer more experiences.

My school is #4 in Iowa but the metrics are a little icky.

Regarding the possessive form, it is either "kid's," if singular, or "kids'," if plural, Eisenstein.

That's a Fort Dodge education for you.

No one really cares. All these stupid rankings measure is the educational level of the school’s parents. West, Ames, and Cedar Falls all rank high? Suburban Chicago too? I’m absolutely SHOCKED. Absolutely worthless.

Iowa City should be proud of this accomplishment. All of the schools in ICCSD should be proud of the quality education they have provided for decades. Since it is my understanding that my tax dollars are used on both sides of the river, I am proud of West High for this. I'll give a nod to Regina, too. It's a good school. Sadly, however, the rubes of this state re-elected Kim Reynolds, who put a bullet into the back of the heads of 4 of her own Republican senators, and she crammed through a highly unpopular school voucher program. We are all beginning to see the effects of public dollars going to the kids of Dowling to give them a fair shot in life. We are seeing it with big cuts around the state as tax dollars are siphoned away from kids.
Keep that in mind when you vote in November.
