And honestly, what really made the movie was the setup for the end. The whole time you're laughing every time Farrell insists that he's a great singer. And he ends up pretty good, with Reilly throwing in "boats and ho's" in the open spaces.C'mon now. The sister in law was hilarious. "I'd like to just roll you up into a little ball and stick you in my ******." LOL ...
It sort of reminds me, in an inverse way, of when I saw Steve Martin a few years back with Steep Canyon Rangers. As he was tuning his banjo, he started this long story about people asking him how he decided to perform professionally in front of crowds. As he tunes, he says he decided he should go see how the real pros do it, so he got tickets to see Eric Clapton. [tune, tune].... "But I have to tell you, he just wasn't that funny." But that great sense of surprise.
