Agreed. I don't know Coach Lowery's financial situation but why in the world would he want to take this job. The funny thing is all of those players holding picket signs to get their coach back would transfer in a heartbeat on him if they got a better offer.

One person here made a remark about Hines being out of shape and it spread like wildfire. Now it’s the only thing people say about him. He was fine. 6’10 270lb people are going to huff and puff.
Being out of shape is different than having conditioning issues, especially for a guy his size. Conditioning has been a thing for him going back to his Plainfield days.

It's all about the players wanting the interim coach to stay. Can't blame them since he's been there for 9 years, recruited all of them and has been leading the team since April. It's a difficult time to make a change. Shame on TS for letting it drag this long which has created this situation.

From Corey's perspective, he wants a D1 Head coaching job and the salary and opportunities that it offers. He's been a HC for many years before his time with Sha and working for Sha can't be easy. This job would pay him $1.75M over 5 years. $350k is likely a decent bump for him.

I feel bad that he's entering such a volatile situation, assuming he's officially confirmed.

B.S. - he’s so out of shape I wonder why the best program in the country couldn’t wait to steal him.

People on this board will say Nikola Jokic has poor conditioning too then. Whatever makes you feel better.

The top 2 UCONN assistants last year were making $1mill and $900k respectively. 3rd Assistant Michael Nardi is likely over $400k. Im surprised Lowery would be making much less than $350 at SHU. He's a BE assistant after all.
