And, its clear that their feelings about one another havent changed14-0 Lincolnton
All true. All trueMessiah Thompson Locked up Jaxon Dollar tonight.
Jaxon had 1 catch and it resulted in a fumble from Thompson.
Dollar was targeted all night.
nothing went his way. Thompson was on all over him.
Thompson had multiple passes broken up.
Also has a clutch Pick 6 on his 17th birthday.
This may be the finest scrimmage report ever posted on a high school football forum. This scrimmage was mostly defensive. East fumbled the ball away a couple of times and the wolves did, once. Both sides had at least one interception. Lincolnton's interception resulted in a pick 6 that went for about 40-50 yards (not sure on the distance), and that is correct that it was by M. Thompson defending J. Dollar.
Lincolnton's other score was a spectacular run by R. Lynch (the running back) after a reception from R.Lynch the quarterback that must have went for around 40 yards (again, not sure on the distance since I was watching the receiver).
Got to give credit to our defense, and to the Mustangs as well. It was a fun scrimmage to watch.
Now for the elephant in the room. As Lawdog and AlwaysA Wolf mentioned, both teams were fired up and wanting to best the other.
With 3:59 left, there was an altercation between the teams that resulted in the game being ended by the officials. It was on East Lincoln's side of the field, so I do not know who started it or what caused it. Didn't see any punches thrown, it mostly looked like bumping pushing and mouthing, but since it was on the far side I couldn't see everything.
Have to give props to Coaches Lubowicz and Angle and their staffs for jumping in and stopping it along with the officials.
They would bring both sides to midfield and counsel with them and I would imagine offer corrections about keeping their feelings in check.
Personal thoughts: Was hoping so badly that the Wolves would come out on top, but in a regulation game it would be close. As fired up for this scrimmage as both sides were, I feel like both coaches pulled back on the reins some, to avoid the possibility of injuries among other reasons, and so they should have.
Frankly, I believe Lincolnton could win a regulation game, but it could go the other way as well. Was good to see so many fine athletes on the field. East Lincoln will be hard to beat. Both teams have many weapons.
PostScript, can't say enough about Lincolnton's M. Thompson defending J, Dollar, I got to say, it was obvious to me that Dollar is the real deal. It was a tough scrimmage for him but he lives up to the billing.
While leaving the stadium area, tonight, I was walking behind a man who was telling someone about a player who was given a considerable sum of money by a shoe company. He went on to say this player bought shoes, etcetera, for other team members. Never heard him say any names, but I have an idea he was talking about one of two players who were on the field, tonight.
If that is correct, hats off to this baller.
In other scrimmages, East Rutherford outscored North Lincoln 13-7. This would be a good game. Both Have quarterbacks with good arms.
Bandys beat West Lincoln, 21-7. Bandys always seems to come up with a quarterback that can throw. West should learn to use the pass.
Side note: Somebody was grilling hamburgers at the concession stand on the visitors' side and the smell was wonderful. wish I could still have them, this late in the day.

This brings up a question I have. Do you think it is easier to go undefeated in the conference this year or win the 3A Title?Good luck to all our conference brethren game 1

Same here.Never moved one game when I was in high school
Back in my day, our head coach had a deal with the devil. Storms would pass right around our stadium and never come close enough to cancel or move anything.
good description!Thank you, my friend and bless y’all…When I got back from walking, I looked on the Internet and saw these. I feel awfully dumb for not knowing what they were but it’s good to learn something. They can even be purchased online.
Called my cousin next-door and ask if she knew what they were and she talked to me like I was having an episode of dementia.
A I said the taste of the fruit was a combination of a banana, a mango and a cantaloupe.
Thank you again for thinking of me.
