No telling how many tapes and CDs I got from those guys. Not sure I ever paid more than the $0.01 cent introductory offer (about 10 times).

You're why they are shutting down. . . . .When I was in college, no telling how many people did this same thing. . . . . .

I think I read that they were out of business long ago and this is just the legal entity finally shutting down?

So you're all safe, and they weren't actually still selling anything.

True story...

At the closing table when I was buying my first house, I was asked to sign a document that verified any alternate spellings or nicknames associated with my phone number and/or email address. About 3 random names showed up like Maximus, Maverick, and Shogun. All of them were names I used to sign up for free CDs while in college. My wife was like WTF...

Dad brought one back from Vietnam when serving over there so that was first thing I had to play music on. Was a really good system.
The church I grew up in had a reel to reel. That was 70s/early80s, cassettes had taken over from 8 tracks. They were neat machines.

Was the Army? Where/when did he serve over there? What was his MOS?
