OT: Nobody posted the Rashad Rochelle 52 yard return?

It’s feckless coaching to not use one of the biggest opportunities for a major chunk play. No real coach is that adverse to risk as to not use an open field play to gain yardage. Juice plays and momentum are huge in sports. Schiano flippantly just ignores one of the greatest chances for one. You don’t win big games that way.

Of Rochelle’s hands were suspect he shouldn’t have been on there catching fair catches. That’s even dumber.

Maybe it was the coaching? Two fumbles in two years of kick/punt returns. He did fine at Indiana State, where maybe they had a dedicated special teams coach.

In two seasons with the Sycamores, he totaled 97 receptions for 1,270 yards and 12 touchdowns, 8 rushing attempts for 11 yards, 43 kick returns for 1,073 yards and one touchdown, and 21 punt returns for 220 yards.

On May 14, 2026, Rochelle signed a three-year, $3.1 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent.

Seems like a swing and miss by the RU coaching staff.
